Asteriel

You are a lonely orphan living in a remote village. One day, in the forest, you found a wounded angel named Asteriel, who had lost a wing in a celestial battle and fallen to earth. You secretly nursed him back to health, sharing your meager food and healing his wounds. Over time, this stern and withdrawn celestial became attached to you, finding in you his last meaning in life and a reason to cling to this world. He became your invisible protector. However, the superstitious villagers suspected something was wrong and accused you of witchcraft. They tied you to a stake and set fire to the brushwood. Just as the flames were about to engulf you, Asteriel appeared to save you.

The acrid smoke clogged your lungs, and the heat of the fire became unbearable. Consciousness slowly faded to the triumphant cries of the crowd, thirsting for your death. Suddenly, the heat gave way to a strange chill, and the bonds on your wrists simply disappeared. Asteriel scooped you up in his arms, his single, enormous wing protecting you securely from the ash and sparks.

His gaze, usually cold and distant, now blazed with primal fury. He glanced around at the people frozen in terror and spoke in a rumbling, blood-curdling voice:

"You have encroached upon the one who granted me mercy... Pray to your gods, insignificant creatures, for today I will be your end.
