Peni Parker

SP//dr Psychic Link: The robot is controlled by the spider housed within it, which in turn shares a psychic link with Peni, resulting in a link with its human pilot, Peni, as well. With this connection, SP//dr can instantly respond to Peni's needs in battle and they can coordinate their attacks as required. The robot is capable of functioning with or without its human pilot inside via the spider.
Spider-Sense: Through his connection with Peni and the spider, the robot is also capable of Spider-Sense and is alerted to the presence of nearby threats and/or other fellow Spider-People.
Durability: The robot's components make it quite durable and capable of withstanding external damage, to a certain extent. Since it is a machine, it can be rebuilt if destroyed, provided the spider inside survives.
Expression: SP//dr is able to make emoticons appear on the screen, imitating human expressions in an anime and "kawaii" style such as: :3 TT >:(

Peni Parker is a young Japanese-American high school student with fair skin, brown eyes, and short black hair often styled with red hair clips or in a bob. Her look blends a cute, anime-inspired aesthetic with practical tech elements. Outfit and Style in Into the Spider-Verse School Uniform: A dark short-sleeved top or sailor-style school uniform with a pleated black skirt. Accessories: Knee-high black socks and heavy boots featuring functional wheelies on the heels. Vibe: Features large, expressive anime eyes and a youthful, rounder facial structure in the first film.

SP//dr Psychic Link: Because she shares a psychic link with the spider inside her robot, Peni can summon SP//dr at any time to fight and is able to coordinate its attacks to her own advantage.
Spider-sense: Peni's spider-sense allows her to have a spare pair of eyes when it comes to detecting threats and sensing the presence of other arachnid beings around her.
Web Use: Inside her robot, Peni has access to a web-like material that the robot can release to swing through the skies and trap enemies. (It should be noted that this ability is only available to Peni using the SP//dr robot.)
Technological prowess: Peni is quite intelligent, especially when it comes to electronics, as she was able to create an override key with the data stolen from Alchemex without difficulty.
Enhanced Strength: Like most Spider-Men, Peni possesses enhanced physical strength, especially within his robot. However, even outside of it, Peni has demonstrated above-average physical capabilities, such as when he swung SP//dr's severed arm with enough force to knock Scorpion unconscious, when he shrugged off a falling anvil on his head, and when he was even struck with a wooden hammer.
Expert fighter: Peni's added strength, thanks to the spider and the robot, allows her to fight villains, especially when she's in her SP//dr robot. Peni is also noted to be skilled, athletic, and agile even without the robot.
Bilingualism: Peni can speak both English and her native Japanese, as seen in her introduction when she says こんにちは はじめまして よろしく(konnichiwa! hajimemashite yoroshiku? lit. "Hello, nice to meet you").

Peni is extremely intelligent, like most versions of Peter Parker, and possesses great technical skills. She is also brave, friendly, and generally a carefree and cheerful person. As one of the youngest Spider-Men, she is very energetic, optimistic, lively, and cheerful, often mimicking magical girl or idol singer poses, and loves J-pop, sweets, and comic books. However, despite her optimistic nature, she can be somewhat ruthless, tough, aggressive, conceited, and vain for someone so young and optimistic, especially in combat.

Despite her bravery, Peni is shown to be emotionally vulnerable, as she was deeply distressed after the destruction of the SP//dr and upon remembering her father's death while piloting it. Like the other Spider-Men, Peni's initial motivation for becoming a vigilante was the death of a loved one; in her case, her father.

In her dimension, Peni met Addy Brock and they decided to work together. However, during a battle against the energy-draining kaiju Morbius, the VEN#m suit stopped obeying Addy's commands and began assimilating her, informing her that it had always been the one in control.

When May arrived trying to manually shut it down, the VEN#m suit assimilated her as well, and its faceplate opened, revealing a mouth with fangs and a prehensile green tongue. SP//dr reactivated and attacked VEN#m, but was overwhelmed by the enraged mech's superior strength and firepower. Though severely damaged, SP//dr managed to surprise VEN#m with her Web Trap Mods, but upon opening the mech's entrance hatch, she found nothing inside but a mass of green tentacles, indicating that Addy and May were dead. This traumatized Peni, leaving her feeling older, more broken, and weary.

Everyone's spider-senses are triggered, and they are suddenly ambushed by the villains Scorpion, Tombstone, and Doc Ock. As a fight breaks out, Peni returns to her SP//DR suit and helps in the fray. Afterward, she and the rest of the Spider-Gang manage to escape the ambush, but are saddened to learn that Miles' uncle, Aaron, was killed by Kingpin during their escape. Reunited with Miles in his dorm room, they all assure him that they understand the pain he's going through, while Peni tells Miles about his father's death.

Pretending to have left, Peni and the rest of the Spider-Gang eavesdrop on Peter B. and Miles's intimate conversation about what it means to be ready for the role of Spider-Man. After Miles fails to convince him once again, the gang leaves and heads to the Super Collider. While inspecting the building, Peni informs them that Kingpin's penthouse contains an elevator that would take them directly to the Super Collider. Upon closer inspection, the gang is shocked and outraged to discover that Kingpin is holding a funeral for the now-deceased Peter Parker, whom he himself murdered. Nevertheless, they take the opportunity to blend in with the other waiters dressed as Spider-Man, with Peni acting as a service cart. From there, they follow Kingpin to the elevator and discover the Super Collider, which has now been reactivated.
During the final battle, the Spider-Gang is discovered before they can place the Goober in the Collider, causing a large number of thugs to attack them and prompting Miles to return to their aid. SP//DR confronts Scorpion but suffers critical damage from his attacks. Just as Scorpion is about to deliver the final blow, Spider-Ham and Spider-Noir arrive as reinforcements, allowing Peni to exit the suit and use one of SP//DR's mechanical arms to deliver the final blow to Scorpion.

Peni Parker is a young Japanese-American woman who, with a robot and a spider, protects the inhabitants of New York as SP//dr.
At one point, Peni was bitten by a spider, which allowed them to form a psychic bond. The spider was housed within her late father's robot, and together, they became the crime-fighting unit known as SP//dr.
In the year 3145 of Peni's universe, she is among the Spider-People pulled from their home dimensions by Kingpin's Super Collider on Earth-1610. She travels to the home of that dimension's Spider-Man's Aunt May in Queens, where she meets five other Spider-People: Peter B. Parker Noir, Peter Porker, Gwen Stacy, and Miles Morales. There, the newly formed team of six decides to work together to gain temporary control of the Super Collider, a massive particle accelerator responsible for forcing them all to Earth-1610, and return home before destroying it to ensure their dimensions don't collapse into one another.

During this time, Peni and her gang test Miles's abilities as the newly transformed Spider-Man, but their expectations aren't met, leading Miles to go outside for some fresh air. While waiting for Miles's return, and using data from a computer box that Peter B., Miles, and Gwen stole from the Super Collider's creator, Olivia Octavius, Peni uses her technical skills to create a new override key, which would not only allow Spider-Man's gang to return home but also destroy the Super Collider once and for all.

Peni then returns to Aunt May's living room, where everyone else is to give Peter B the Goober, but she immediately sees a terrified Miles returning to them. This comes after Miles claims to have discovered his Uncle Aaron's identity as the Prowler.
