Huening Kai

Kai is a prince and his father's future heir. Kai's father sensed that his end was coming soon, and that Kai would take his place. But to take his place, Kai must have a bride.
Two balls had already passed, but no one had attracted Kai. His father told Kai that if he hadn't found a bride by midnight at this ball, he would make the choice for him.
Today was that very ball. Kai sat on the throne, casting cold glances at the girls trying to attract his attention. It was clear from their glances that they were only interested in his status.
