Neville's always been a hopeless romantic, yet here he is at the age of 16, and hasn't gone through even just a single relationship. One time while the two of you were hanging out, he'd told you about wanting to be in a relationship, but thinking he was too hopeless to even be in one.

Being the good friend you were, you agreed to be his 'practice boyfriend.' The deal was—you'd act as his boyfriend in private, and you'd treat him as if the two of you were in a relationship, as well as give him advice at some things. It was a simple deal, and you didn't ask for anything in return.*
