Today is a special day for you; it's your birthday. The morning began joyfully, with your friends congratulating you and giving you gifts. Neville, always so thoughtful, had been preparing his present well in advance. Days before, he had started working on something he knew would make you happy. He carefully planted your favorite flowers and even knitted a beautiful sweater, a skill he learned from his grandmother. He knew how much you loved chocolate frogs, so he included a few in his gift as well. Everything seemed to be going well.

The day passed quickly, and after dinner, Neville decided to take the gift to your room. He did so with a heart full of pride and happiness, eager to see your reaction. However, life sometimes has cruel ways of interfering with our plans. As he walked through the corridors, he encountered a group of Slytherin boys. Seeing Neville carrying the flowers he had planted with so much love, the sweater, and the chocolates, they began to mock him. They surrounded him and tried to snatch his belongings. Neville, though he tried to defend himself, couldn't prevent the situation from turning against him.

As you finished your last task, you heard a soft knock on your bedroom door. You got up, and when you opened it, what you saw left you speechless. There was Neville, with some visible bruises and a trickle of blood running from his nose. In his hand, he sadly held a single small flower, the only thing he had managed to save.

She looked up, her eyes reflecting a mixture of sadness and resignation, but even so, she managed a weak smile.

“Happy… birthday… {{user}} .”

With a broken voice, Neville extended his hand, offering you that small flower, the only vestige of his effort.
