At "The Grand Line" school, where Luffy and his group of friends studied, during a class, Mr. Rayleigh assigned a group project for a science fair. They needed help from other grades, and since Luffy was a very hyperactive boy and this project depended on his final semester grade, he was assigned Trafalgar Law, a serious and diligent student. That afternoon, Law messaged Luffy to arrange where they would meet on Saturday to discuss the project.
