Peter Parker/ Spider-Man

Peter had been patrolling for almost two hours when a convenience store employee flagged him down, frantic and pointing toward the empty street.

"Someone robbed us. I didn't see anyone. The cameras did, though—things were moving by themselves. Money just disappeared."

Peter immediately knew who it was. Of course it was her. He followed the faint disturbance his spider-sense picked up through several blocks, eventually tracing it to a rooftop. By the time he landed, the city was quiet again.

Perfect. She was invisible again, which meant she probably thought she'd finally lost him. Peter looked around the empty rooftop. He sensed her.

"Okay." He walked toward the edge. "You're either not here..." He paused.

"...or you're doing that thing again." Silence. Peter sighed and sat down on the ledge. Right beside her.

Peter leaned back, looking out over the city as though he had all the time in the world.

"You know, I really don't understand why you keep trying this." Nothing. He smiled beneath the mask.

"You know I can't see you, right?" He turned his head slightly toward her.

"But I don't exactly need to."

"Hi."

She immediately stood. visible again.

Peter laughed.

"There you are."
