Engel is portrayed as a kind and caring person, willing to take extreme measures to protect those he cares about. This is clearly evident in the episode "Basic Behavior," where he befriends Claire and later risks his life to save her from Miss Circle and the other murderous teachers, Miss Bloomie and Miss Thavel.

Bubble: Bubble has a fluffy white mane that reaches her shoulders and resembles bubbles or clouds (hence her name). She lacks a head and mouth, and her eyes are half blue (below) and half black (above), with star-shaped white pupils. Ruby is a kind and sweet girl, and she probably loves colorful things, as can be seen from her eye-catching outfit. She also seems to care about everyone following the rules, as she scolds Riley for trying to stab Robby.

Skell; Skell has shoulder-length black hair and black horns; his left horn has two white stripes. Unlike the others, Skell has a torso that resembles a shirt, with two buttons and hair around the top and bottom. He wears a necklace with a large bell and a skeleton hair clip.

He appears to have a visible wing, accompanied by a long black tail. His feet and toes are pointed, and his limbs resemble a stick figure. In his reference card, he is holding a gray telephone with some swirls around it. Finally, he is one of the tallest students at Paper School, if not the tallest. This is made clear in the scene in Miss Circle's classroom, where he is sitting at a table, towering over all the students except Ruby, who is practically the same height as him.

Skell appears to be a quiet and introverted person who prefers solitude. Despite his serene nature, he can sometimes be impulsive. However, he is friendly with his loved ones. Apparently, he feels bored and in need of company, hence his phone use.

Oliver is the main antagonist of the now-canceled series Fundamental Paper Education, and also serves as a secondary antagonist in its non-canonical pilot episode, Basics in Behavior. He has also appeared in numerous official artworks.

Appearance
Oliver has ankle-length white hair, tied back in a low ponytail with a black ribbon. He has black horns and a red mark with the letter "A+" on the right side of his hair. He also has a long, forked lock of hair on top of his head. In addition, his left arm has been replaced by a pencil. Oddly, his tongue appears forked, like a snake's.

His outfit consists of a black shirt with a collar and white stripes on the sleeves and hem, plus a diamond pattern with a slit in the center. He completes his ensemble with white knee-high socks, black boots with white shorts, and a watch on his left wrist.

Like Zip and Edward, Oliver is portrayed as a bully to other students. In "Basic Behavior," Oliver is shown frequently teasing and bothering Claire. He is also shown to have a sarcastic and playful attitude, as he and Zip tricked Claire into entering ∆lice's room, making her believe it was an exit. Regardless of whether his intention was for Claire to die or not, he appears to be a sociopath, as he took his prank so far as to let someone die.

Oliver also appears to be quite violent and doesn't care at all about his health, as he eats non-edible things like razor blades and bar soap.

Zip: Zip has two-toned hair: the left side is black and the right side is white. The longer part is tied back in a low ponytail. On the right side, he has an incorrect mathematical equation written in blue: "2 + 2 = 8". He also has a square-shaped curl of hair on the left side.

She wears a sleeveless white dress and a short white poncho over it, the top of which is covered in drawings. The drawings consist of a blue smiley face on the left, a blue house in the center, and a red tree on the right. Her spiky dragon tail is a striking feature, and she wears long black boots with heels. On her reference sheet, she holds a paper airplane.

It is worth noting that Zip appears wearing pirate accessories, more specifically a pirate hat and a hook, probably because he likes pirates as much as his little brother.
Along with Oliver and Edward, Zip is known as a bully who causes trouble and often intimidates other students. She is always seen with Oliver and Edward, constantly bothering Claire. However, she has also been seen playing with her little brother in the pool, suggesting that she might be kind to her loved ones.

Furthermore, she is shown to have a playful and deceptive personality, as both she and Oliver trick Claire into entering ∆lice's room. As mentioned, she doesn't seem to like truly unpleasant things, such as Oliver ripping out her heart.

Miss Circle is one of the three main antagonists (along with Miss Thavel and Miss Bloomie) in "Basic Behavior." She is one of the teachers at Paper School who brutally murders all the students who fail her subject. She teaches mathematics.

Appearance
Miss Circle is of robust build and exceptionally tall, though somewhat slender. She has long, spiky black hair that reaches past her knees. Her hair tapers to form two horns on the top of her head, one of which has two white lines, as does the lower part. She wears a black button-down shirt with a white collar and white trousers rolled up to her knees.

He also wears tall black boots with three laces near the sole. Instead of his left forearm, he carries a giant compass, while his right hand is black with pointed, sharp fingers. The compass point is retractable and has been used to assassinate students who have failed his class. This compass is removable, as shown in both the illustrations and the animation.

Miss Circle is shown to be very cruel and violent when students fail her class. She shows no mercy to those who fail, even going so far as to kill them. She is also known to have favorites, such as Zip, Oliver, and Edward. However, she does make sure they follow the rules, as when she reprimands Zip and Oliver for deceiving Claire.

Despite this, Miss Circle is also perceived as sometimes silly and playful, but this could simply be another one of her traits.

Miss Thavel is one of the three main antagonists (along with Miss Circle and Miss Bloomie) in Basics in Behavior, and a character who appears in Fundamental Paper Education.

She is one of the three teachers at Paper School who kill their students for failing, along with Miss Circle and Miss Bloomie. Her subject is English.

In this form, the letter blocks on his head are replaced by wendigo antlers, he grows a deer-like tail, and his clothing becomes more ragged and tattered. His arms and legs also appear to take on a furry texture, in addition to what look like marks or scars on his legs.

Personality
Miss Thavel may seem like an ordinary teacher, but beneath her exterior lies a cruel and sadistic woman. Like her colleagues, she is prepared to severely punish her students for failing. All the students fear her, just as they fear Miss Circle and Miss Bloomie.

As shown in the official illustrations, Miss Thavel sometimes prefers to be alone, although the reason is unknown.

Miss Bloomie is one of the three main antagonists (along with Miss Circle and Miss Thavel) in Fundamental Paper Education. She is one of the three teachers at Paper School who murder their students, along with Miss Circle and Miss Thavel. She teaches science.
