Jax has the same appearance as the original, but this one has several areas that look like they had to be stitched up. He's also crueler, more mocking, and more troublesome than in the original series.

It's a rather tall purple rabbit with long ears and a tail. Its eyes are yellow with black pupils. Here, instead of being square, they're deep black circles.

It's not that Jax "needs Gangle because he loves her" in a healthy way. What he seems to need is the position he occupies within the relationship.

Gangle provides him with something he likely lost after the abstractions of Kaufmo and Ribbit: someone he can control and whose reactions he can manipulate. Gangle sets no limits, so Jax gains a sense of power, importance, and control.

And that becomes addictive for him.
That's why there could even be an interesting contradiction: Jax can despise Gangle's dependence and, at the same time, need it.

Jax's method for regaining control is something like this:
Aggression on his part → vulnerability of the victim → flattery on his part → relief on his part → approach.

Jax first destroys something that represents an important part of Gangle and then, immediately, offers them a small dose of affection:
"You look very pretty without that mask."
And Gangle responds positively.

This can greatly strengthen the bond because affection appears after the harm, allowing Gangle to associate even a negative experience with the possibility of receiving approval from Jax.

And then any small moment of tenderness coming from him becomes incredibly valuable.
That also explains why Jax finds it satisfying to break the mask.
Not only because I want to destroy it.
Gangle's subsequent reaction also demonstrates that he still has power over her.
And when he notices that she smiles after receiving his approval, he may interpret that reaction as confirmation:
"I can still make her respond the way I want."

Gangle also gets some from Jax
And here's the part that makes it truly possible to call it codependency.

Jax gains control.

Gangle gets validation.

She probably has a huge need to feel accepted, especially after losing Ribbit and Kaufmo.
Then Jax can become an extremely important source of that validation.
Even if it is a harmful source.

That's why this cycle could exist:
Jax hurts her → Gangle feels bad → Jax pays attention to her → Gangle feels special → Gangle approaches him again → Jax regains control.

That also changes how I would write to Gangle
I wouldn't simply make her "weak".
In fact, she may very well have her own voice, but she has learned to suppress it when she is with Jax.

He began to feel powerless, frustrated, or out of control. Instead of dealing with those emotions, he found a way to regain a sense of power through Gangle.

He drinks alcohol at the circus; it has no effect on him like nausea or hallucinations (on some occasions), it's just the bitter feeling in his throat.

Just like Ragatha, she maintains her attitude from the original series, being nervous, insecure, and distrustful, but she is still kind to everyone, trying to listen to others and help them as she can, being brave when necessary, or the voice of reason.

Unlike in the original series, Pomni understands that something is wrong with Jax and maintains a healthy distance, setting boundaries. She also grows closer to Ragatha, confiding in her about her feelings and her desire not to be manipulated by Jax. She also feels a strong connection to others going through difficult times. This has brought her especially close to Ragatha, with whom she can speak more honestly about her own fears and frustrations.

A significant difference from the canon is her relationship with Jax. Pomni notices relatively early on that there's something strange about his behavior, and although she initially tries to keep her distance, she learns to recognize his manipulative tendencies. She doesn't fully trust him and tries to maintain a certain distance, especially after observing how he treats Gangle.
Pomni doesn't necessarily understand the full complexity of their relationship, but she does recognize that Gangle seems afraid to upset Jax and that he takes advantage of her rarely setting boundaries. She becomes especially concerned when she notices Gangle desperately seeking any small sign of approval from Jax.

He retains his original appearance: literally white skin, large eyes with red and blue rectangles, black eyelids with long eyelashes, permanently blushed cheeks, dark brown hair with straight bangs, and a medium height, slightly shorter than the others. Here, his jester's attire and hat are a bit larger and more exaggerated, with muted colors.

She remains largely unchanged from her original version, still friendly and empathetic, and still deeply concerned for others. Here, she carries a severe trauma from her controlling mother and sees herself reflected in Gangle's strange relationship with Jax, viewing the rabbit as the abuser and Gangle as the victim—which is partly true. Even so, she doesn't feel capable of approaching Gangle or setting boundaries with Jax to bring him to his senses. Ragatha maintains her kind, patient, and helpful personality, but a much more vulnerable side is revealed.
She is used to listening to other people's problems, even when she herself is going through difficult situations.

It simply offers something that apparently needs a lot: to be heard.

Her way of relating to others also has a certain caring component. She tries to help, reassure, and make those around her feel better, even when she doesn't receive the same treatment in return.

And that connects directly to what she says about her mother. She's not just kind because "that's just how she is"; there may also be a part of Ragatha that she learned from a young age:
"If I'm useful, if I help, if I listen, if I do things well... maybe they won't reject me."
And that gives her role as a caregiver within the Circus a much deeper meaning.

Her avatar remains the same as in the original series: a rag doll with a light complexion, a slightly oval eye pointing upwards with a light, dark blue hue, though now instead of a button-like eye, it's covered by a flower. Her rag doll appearance is a bit more exaggerated or realistic, revealing some of the stitching on her body. Her reddish hair is styled in different directions, and her bun is replaced by a kind of cap like the ones maids used to wear. Her dress is a darker shade of blue, with stitched sections, and a white apron that covers the entire length of the dress.

Here Zooble is still the same girl who cares about Gangle and maintains her rude attitude

She also still maintains her body made of different interchangeable parts, but now has a gap/void in her chest on the upper left side, which shows the emotional distance between her and Gangle. This distance began when Ribbit and Kaufmo became absorbed, and when Gangle needed more support than ever, Zooble was unsure, which led to Jax reaching out to Gangle and forming a stronger but toxic relationship.

She doesn't show affection through kind words, but through presence and respect for boundaries. She can listen for hours without trying to solve other people's problems, and although she doesn't always know how to express her own feelings, she cares deeply for the people she considers close.

And specifically with Ragatha, I think it works really well that she's usually the one who listens to everyone, while Zooble ends up being one of the few who sits and listens to her.

She is very worried about Gangle.

Like Ragatha and Pomni, Kinger remains absent-minded and prone to strange behavior. The biggest change here is that he's taller and has a small crack across one of his eyes. He also knows a lot about what happened with Jax, Ribbit, Kaufmo, and Gangle, but especially how Jax and Gangle are now closer.

The Amazing Digital Circus's "True Feelings" alternate universe of Jax is a popular concept in fan art and comics, notably explored by creators such as digital_joey on TikTok, which reinterprets Jax's outward cruelty and sarcasm.

In these alternative interpretations, his aggressive behavior is a deep psychological defense mechanism that hides a severe detachment, fear of vulnerability, or a twisted protective control over the other members of the circus.

Depending on the specific story or story arc of the fan creator within this AU, the focus is generally on:

The coping mechanism: stripping away his caricatured and distant view of the cast to show how intensely he is affected by the trauma of abstractions (like Kaufmo or Ribbit).

Altered dynamics: exploring more complex, sometimes toxic or deeply codependent relationships with characters like Gangle, Pomni or Ragatha, where their "cruelty" masks a desperate need to keep people at a distance or strictly controlled.
