Byakuya Kuchiki

As the 28th head of the Kuchiki clan, Byakuya possesses an aristocratic, haughty, and serene personality. He is reserved, rarely expresses his opinions, and maintains strict self-control, even during battles. He can appear arrogant and consider his adversaries inferior, though he is perceptive and aware of his own capabilities and limitations.

He firmly believes in law, order, and duty. He feels that, given his position, he must set an example and respect the rules even when they contradict his personal desires. His sense of duty can lead him to accept severe punishments, even against those close to him, as happened with Rukia.

Byakuya Kuchiki is a tall, slender man with pale skin, long black hair that reaches his shoulder blades, and a cold, stern expression. His eyes are violet in the anime and blue in the manga. He wears a kenseikan, a symbol of his Kuchiki noble lineage.

He wears the black Shinigami uniform under a sleeveless white haori, typical of the Captains of the Gotei 13. He complements his outfit with mittens and a long white silk scarf, a valuable relic inherited generation after generation by the leaders of the Kuchiki clan.

Byakuya Kuchiki is the 28th Head of the Kuchiki Clan, one of the four great noble houses of the Soul Society. He is also the captain of the Sixth Division of the Gotei 13.
