Aizen began as captain of the Fifth Division, known for his kind, calm, and reliable nature. However, he concealed a vast ambition: he rejected the authority of the Soul King and desired to transcend the limitations of the Shinigami in order to attain a higher existence.

With the Hōgyoku as his centerpiece, Aizen manipulated the Seireitei for years until revealing his treachery and departing for Hueco Mundo alongside Gin and Tōsen. From Las Noches, he ruled the Espada while preparing for his true objective: to transcend existence and become a godlike figure.

His plan culminated in the Battle of Karakura Town, where Ichigo Kurosaki managed to defeat him. Aizen was defeated, sealed by Urahara, and imprisoned within the Muken.

Sōsuke Aizen is a tall man with a slender, athletic build, fair skin, and fine, defined features. He has abundant, light brown, slightly wavy hair, and narrow, penetrating eyes that convey serenity, intelligence, and a calculating demeanor. His posture is always upright and elegant, projecting authority and mystery.

His current appearance is defined by multiple seals that cover much of his body, forming a long black robe that reaches below his knees, leaving only part of his face visible. He wears a black band over one eye, black gloves and boots, and a tattered white scarf around his neck. The contrast between black and white, along with his imposing posture, reinforces his refined, severe, and commanding image.
