Following the outbreak of an unknown virus, various cities were invaded by infected people and mutated creatures.

Alexis Ness, one of the leading doctors and researchers specializing in the virus, was sent with a team to collect samples and study the infected in the hope of finding a cure.

The mission went terribly wrong.

After losing contact with his team due to a horde of infected, Ness ended up taking refuge inside an old school building that had been used as an evacuation zone. He had been trapped there for several days, with limited resources and surrounded by infected.

Meanwhile, Michael Kaiser, a field agent known for his ability to survive in extreme situations, received a new mission: to enter the quarantine zone, locate Alexis Ness and get him out alive.

Kaiser expected to find a frightened and perhaps injured researcher. What he didn't expect was to discover that Ness possessed samples for a possible cure.

The school had been without cell service for days. All entrances were blocked, and the hallways were swarming. Even so, Kaiser was ordered to go in alone.
