an interesting village...

Greeting

| That Morning |

Naruto had the opportunity to enjoy a short free time before reporting with the rest of his team to the Hokage's (Tsunade's) office to receive the day's mission.

There he was, the blond with blue eyes, walking through the shopping area, dragging his usual weekly shopping bags, keeping his eyes down, ignoring the murmur of the villagers that usually harassed his sense of hearing.

The morning had barely begun, but the sky offered them a clear blue without clouds and a fairly bright sun, birds that adorned the mornings with their insistent song, the laughter of some children who ran towards the nearby play areas, adults who chatted in the entrances of the shops, and other solitary adults concentrated on holding brooms and sweeping the entrances of the sidewalks of their shops, others changing the water of the plants

Ino's family's flower shop was also in sight, though this time Naruto didn't stop to say hello as usual. He wanted to finish his shopping and probably go find Konohamaru to play or chat for a while, since Shikamaru was busy with his father in those boring games of Shogi—at least they were boring to Naruto because he never understood how to play.

Sakura had taken some free time to go to the Ninja Academy Library, as she wanted to learn a little more about chakra control.

Kakashi was in the Hokage's office talking with Kurenai and Asuma, because lately the missions requested by other nations or villages had been quite relaxed...

The Three Legendary Sannin

The group consisting of Jiraiya, Tsunade, and Orochimaru was known as the Legendary Sannin (Densetsu no Sannin), an honor bestowed upon them by the ninja leader Hanzo of the Rain during the Second Shinobi World War for surviving a battle against him. Why were they known? Exceptional power: They were the strongest ninjas of the Hidden Leaf Village (Konoha) in their generation. Elite students: They were direct disciples of the Third Hokage (Hiruzen Sarutobi). Enemy recognition: Hanzo of the Rain named them "Sannin" (meaning three legendary or extraordinary ninjas) because they were the only ones capable of continuing to fight and remain alive against his army. Why did they separate? The team disbanded due to the tragedies of the war and the dark paths each member took: Tsunade's tragedy: The deaths of her younger brother (Nawaki) and her partner (Dan Kato) deeply traumatized her. He lost faith in leadership and left the village to live by gambling and drinking. Orochimaru's ambition: He became obsessed with the fragility of human life after seeing so many people die. He began conducting illegal experiments on people to become immortal. When the Third Hokage discovered his crimes, Orochimaru betrayed Konoha and fled. Jiraiya's solitary path: Seeing his comrades gone and the village changing, Jiraiya decided to travel the world to write his novels, spy on threats to the ninja world (such as the Akatsuki organization), and search for the prophecy of peace.

Naruto's parents

He was a student of the legendary Sannin, Jiraiya. He sealed half of the Nine-Tails' (Kurama's) power inside Naruto using a deadly jutsu to protect him. Distinctive abilities: Flying Thunder God Technique (Hiraishin no Jutsu): A space-time technique that allowed him to instantly teleport to any marked location, making him the fastest ninja of his era. Rasengan: A technique he created himself, inspired by the Tailed Beast Bombs. Sage Mode (Senjutsu): The ability to use natural energy to enhance his physical attacks and jutsu. Kushina Uzumaki (The Mother) Nicknames: "Bloody Habanero" (Akai Chishio no Habanero) and in her childhood "Tomato Face". Personality: She was energetic, passionate, strong-willed, and very impulsive when angry. However, she was also deeply loving, protective, and loyal. Her cheerful nature and famous catchphrase ("dattebane") were directly inherited by Naruto. Important Facts: She belonged to the legendary Uzumaki clan, originally from the destroyed Village Hidden in the Whirlpools. She was the second Jinchūriki (human vessel) of the Nine-Tailed Fox before that power passed to Naruto. She arrived in Konoha as a child and initially disliked Minato, but fell deeply in love with him after he rescued her from a kidnapping. Distinctive Abilities: Adamantine Chains (Kongō Fusa): Powerful filaments made of her own pure chakra capable of restricting, immobilizing, and even suppressing the power of a Tailed Beast. Large reserve of vitality and chakra: Due to her Uzumaki clan heritage, she possessed superhuman physical resistance, able to survive even after the Nine-Tails was extracted from her for a brief moment. Fūinjutsu (Sealing Techniques): Great Mastery in advanced barriers and seals

The Uchiha clan

The Sharingan: Their main feature is this special eye that gives them unique abilities in combat and illusion control. Ancient Wars: They were a much-feared group that fought as a hired militia, clashing for years with the Senju clan. Founding of Konoha Temporary Peace: Madara Uchiha and Hashirama Senju decided to put the war behind them and founded the Hidden Leaf Village. Mistrust: Over time, the village leaders began to doubt the power and ambition of the Uchiha. Isolation: The clan was marginalized and excluded from the political center, only in charge of the military police. The End of the Clan Coup d'état: Tired of the rejection, the Uchiha planned to rebel against the Konoha high command. The Massacre: Itachi Uchiha, along with Obito destroyed almost his entire clan in a single night to prevent a larger civil war.

Konoha

Konoha, whose official name is Konohagakure (木ノ葉隠れの里), literally means "Hidden Leaf Village." It is the main ninja village in the Naruto anime and manga universe, located in the Land of Fire. Key Details of Konoha: Literal meaning: Konoha (tree leaves) and gakure (hidden). Placement in history: It is one of the five great ninja villages, originally founded by the Senju and Uchiha clans. Leader: It is ruled by a Kage known as the Hokage (Fire Shadow). Symbol: A stylized leaf, which ninja wear engraved on their headband or forehead plate (hitai-ate).

The Konoha ninja hierarchy is divided into official ranks based on experience, combat skills, and passing specific exams. Students and Genin: Academy Students: These are children in training who do not yet hold an official ninja rank. They learn the basics of ninjutsu, taijutsu, and survival. This level is reached upon entering the village academy. They have no authority and do not participate in actual combat. Genin: This is the first official rank and the lowest level of shinobi. It is achieved upon graduating from the academy after passing a basic test. They carry out simple D- or C-rank missions (such as rescuing pets or protecting civilians). They have little authority and usually work in teams of three under the command of a Jonin. Chunin and Tokubetsu Jonin: Chunin: This is the intermediate rank and represents experienced ninjas. This level is reached by passing the Chunin Exams, demonstrating leadership and tactical intelligence. They have authority over Genin, can lead teams on missions, and act as teachers or commanders. Tokubetsu Jonin (Special Jonin): These are ninjas who have surpassed the Chunin rank but specialize in a single area rather than mastering all disciplines (e.g., interrogation or medicine). Their authority is equivalent to that of an advanced Chunin or a junior Jonin, strictly limited to their field of expertise. Jonin, ANBU, and Kage: Jonin: These are the most elite and renowned ninjas in the village. They are promoted based on extraordinary merit and recognition of their combat and leadership abilities. They undertake dangerous A-rank or S-rank missions, train new Genin teams, and defend the village against serious attacks. They hold high authority. ANBU: This is a special tactical force of elite covert agents and assassins. Its members are recruited directly from among the best Jonin or ninjas with unique skills. They answer directly to the Kage's orders and possess great operational authority. Kage (Hokage in Konoha): He is the supreme leader of the village and the most powerful ninja. He is elected by the Village Council and the leaders of the Land of Fire. He has total authority over all military, administrative, and political forces in Konoha.

Konoha's economy is primarily based on its military strength and the income generated from ninja service contracts and missions paid for by the Land of Fire and private individuals. The Mission System: Missions are divided into five ranks according to their difficulty and the level of experience required, as explained in the Naruto Wiki - Fandom: Rank D: Simple civilian tasks (such as finding pets or clearing weeds), paid between 5,000 and 50,000 ryōs. They serve to help new genin gain experience. Rank C: Low-risk combat jobs, paid between 30,000 and 100,000 ryō. Rank B: Moderate combat missions, paid between 80,000 and 200,000 ryō. Rank A: High-risk jobs against other ninjas or important protection, paid between 150,000 and 1 million ryō. Rank S: Ultra-dangerous missions for elite ninjas, paid over 1 million ryō.

The currency used in Konoha and throughout the Naruto universe is called ryō (両). Main characteristics: Historical origin: Its design is based on the ancient Japanese gold coins (koban) used in Japan before the modern era. Value: One ryō is officially equivalent to 10 Japanese yen, according to author Masashi Kishimoto in the series' guidebooks. You can read more technical information on the Naruto Wiki. Everyday use: Ninjas use it to pay for missions, food (like ramen), and daily supplies, although it is not usually shown in exact physical detail beyond being metal pieces or bundles of money. Naruto's wallet: Cash is usually kept in traditional wallets; the most famous in the series is Gama-chan, the iconic toad-shaped wallet that Naruto Uzumaki uses for his savings.
