Special skills and outstanding techniques: Drunken Fist Style, Beast Style, Dragon Fist (Tsunade/Sakura – destructive force). Blade Fist Style (Might Guy and Rock Lee). The Eight Inner Gates (Hachimon): A forbidden technique that releases the body's limiters. Each gate exponentially increases speed and strength. The 8th Gate (Gate of Death) grants divine power but causes the user's death. Used by Guy against Madara (Night of the Eight Gates).

Land of Fire (Hi no Kuni)
Main location (the great ninja village): Konohagakure (Hidden Leaf Village): The largest and most powerful village in the country (and the entire ninja world). It's the center of everything: It has modernized considerably (tall buildings, technology, trains, etc.), but it remains the heart of the Land of Fire. It's surrounded by dense forests and near Hokage Mountain. Fire Temple: An ancient and sacred temple with very strong ninja monks. It has nearly indestructible iron walls. Hachō Village: A small village on the outskirts, near the border of the Land of Fire. It is a quiet village of civilians. Tonika Village: Another village on the outskirts of the country, also near the borders. It has appeared in missions and events. Tanzaku Quarters (Tanzaku-gai or Tanzaku City): A lively district somewhat removed from Konoha, filled with hotels, bars, entertainment venues, and casinos. It's like a tourist/commercial area. Frequently visited in the series. Forest of Death: A dangerous, circular forest near Konoha, used for Chunin Exams. It still exists as a hazardous training area. Fire Country Orphanage: An orphanage located on the outskirts of a city (connected to Kabuto in the past). In Boruto, it represents themes of redemption and childcare. Motoyoshi Village (anime only): A village in the Kagetsu Family's lands, known for its herbs and trade. Kisaragi Village (more games): South of Konoha. There are many other small villages and unnamed civilian towns that serve as backdrops for missions (fishing villages, markets, etc.). Valley of the End: On the border with the Land of Sound. It is the legendary site where Hashirama and Madara fought (and later Naruto and Sasuke). It remains a symbolic and sometimes visited location. Naruto Bridge (Great Naruto Bridge): Although it is more in the area of influence of the Land of Fire (near the Land of Waves), it is closely associated.
Land of Fire (Hi no Kuni) part 2
(to the Daimyō Capital (where the Fire Daimyō lives): A more administrative and political city, in the south of the country, with a civil government.
Land of Water (Mizu no Kuni)
The Land of Water is the smallest of the Five Great Countries in terms of area. It is an archipelago consisting of a large main island surrounded by many smaller islands, all surrounded by ocean. The climate is cold and foggy, with frequent mist (which gives its village its name), lakes, and steep, snow-capped mountains in winter. Its inhabitants live on scattered islands, each with its own traditions, and rely heavily on the sea (fishing and maritime trade). Its ninja specialize in Water Release (Suiton) and Kenjutsu (swords), with the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist being particularly famous. After the Fourth Great Ninja War, the country changed drastically: it went from being isolated and brutal (the era of the "Bloody Mist") to a more open, peaceful, and prosperous nation. In Boruto, Kirigakure has become a modern tourist destination with advanced infrastructure, large ports, cruise ships, and an almost "tropical paradise" atmosphere, shrouded in mist, yet brimming with technology and commerce. Main location (the great ninja village): Kirigakure (Hidden Mist Village): The most powerful ninja village in the country (one of the Big Five). It is surrounded by thick fog and mountains in the background, making it difficult for foreigners to find. In the past, it was known as the "Village of the Bloody Mist" for its brutality, but in Boruto, it is completely transformed: modern, open to tourism, with updated buildings, large ports, and a brighter, more commercial atmosphere (although the fog is still present). The Mizukage is Chojuro (or his successor) in the Boruto era. It is home to characters such as Mei Terumi, Kisame, Zabuza, and the Seven Ninja Swordsmen. Dotō Island (Dotō-jima): An important island dedicated to the fishing industry. It appears in several arcs of the Boruto anime (for example, Team Denki's missions). It is a typical coastal location with communities that live off the sea. Minor islands and surrounding archipelago: The country is made up of many small islands around the main island.
Land of Water (Mizu no Kuni) part 2
Each one typically has its own cultural traditions and civic communities. Many are peaceful and are engaged in fishing, maritime trade, or limited agriculture. Water Daimyō's Residence: The political and administrative city where the Daimyō (the feudal lord) lives. It is more organized and serves as the center of civil government, separate from the Mizukage. In times of peace, it is a place for treaties and diplomacy. Small fishing villages and communities are scattered throughout the islands. Coastal areas and inland lakes with constant fog, used for training or missions. The thick fog that covers much of the archipelago (a distinctive feature of the country). Mountains and irregular coastlines with lakes and sea, creating a mysterious and beautiful landscape. In Boruto, the country takes advantage of its maritime geography for tourism and international trade, making Kirigakure more accessible and modern.
Land of the Wind (Kaze no Kuni)
The country is vast, but almost entirely desert (with frequent sandstorms and very little rain). People live in villages built around oases to survive. After the Fourth Shinobi World War, it remains a strong ally of Konoha, and in Boruto, it appears more prosperous thanks to the peace (though the desert remains just as harsh). Sunagakure (Hidden Sand Village): The most important and powerful ninja village in the country (one of the Big Five). It is built inside a giant crater in the middle of the desert, surrounded by natural cliffs that protect it. It is the Kazekage's headquarters (Gaara is the Fifth Kazekage at the beginning of Boruto, and there are successors afterward). In Boruto, it appears more modern (with better infrastructure, reinforced buildings, and technology), but it maintains its desert style with windmills and adobe buildings. It is the home of Gaara, Temari, Kankuro, Shinki, and many other Sand ninja. Demon Desert (Ma no Sabaku): A vast and dangerous desert area near Sunagakure. It is a wild place with extreme sandstorms and beasts. It appears in several missions and arcs (in both Shippuden and Boruto). Ruins of Rōran: An ancient city/kingdom buried in the desert (from the canon film Naruto Shippuden: The Lost Tower). In the Boruto era, its ruins remain and represent the country's historical past. It is a mysterious site surrounded by sand. Ceramic Village (Chori no Sato): A small, peaceful village near the border with the Land of Rivers. It is a civilian settlement dedicated to crafts (ceramics and trade). It appears in the lore as an example of the typical oasis villages of the Land of Wind. Wind Daimyo's Residence: The political and administrative city where the Daimyo (the country's feudal lord, separate from the Kazekage) lives. It is more luxurious and verdant than the rest of the desert, with large oases. It is the center of civil government and is mentioned in peace treaties.
Land of the Wind (Kaze no Kuni) part 2
Villages built in oases scattered throughout the desert (the typical way of life in the country). Many are small, quiet, and depend on Sunagakure for protection. Border areas with the Land of Rivers or the Land of Rain (frequent mission locations for genin in Boruto). Desert training areas: Used by ninjas from Sunagakure (sand and wind techniques). The whole country retains its arid character, but with peace there is more trade and travel between Sunagakure and Konoha (modern trains and caravans).
Land Country (Tsuchi no Kuni)
The Land of Earth is located northwest of the Land of Fire. It is a rocky and mountainous region with desolate landscapes, cliffs, mountain ranges, and sparse vegetation. Its natural borders are rocky mountain ranges that act as defensive barriers. It is one of the Five Great Countries and has always been a strong military power, specializing in Earth Release (Doton) techniques. Its ninja are known for their resilience and unwavering loyalty to the Tsuchikage. Main location (the great ninja village): Iwagakure (Hidden Rock Village): The most powerful ninja village in the country (one of the Five Great Villages). It is built within and between enormous mountains and rocky cliffs, with buildings and towers carved directly into the stone. The surrounding mountains make it a nearly impregnable natural fortress. The Tsuchikage has his office there (Kurotsuchi is the Fourth Tsuchikage at the beginning of Boruto, and there are successors later). In Boruto, it appears more modern in terms of infrastructure, but it retains its rocky and solid aesthetic. It is home to characters like Deidara (in the past), Kurotsuchi, and many ninjas skilled in Earth Release. Jōmae Village: A small village that appears in the lore and in some arcs. It is a civilian or support village within the country, used in the context of missions or events. Kagerō Village: Another minor village mentioned in the Naruto universe. It is part of the typical rocky communities of the Land of Earth. Earth Daimyō's Residence: The political and administrative city where the Daimyō (the country's feudal lord) lives. It is more organized and luxurious than the rocky mountain regions and serves as the center of civil government (separate from the Tsuchikage). It is mentioned in treaty and political discussions.
Land of Earth (Tsuchi no Kuni) part 2
Small towns and villages built in valleys between mountains or at the foot of cliffs. Most are civilian communities engaged in mining, trade, or limited agriculture in more sheltered areas. Border areas with the Land of Fire or the Land of Rain, which are often the settings for genin missions. Rocky mountain ranges surrounding Iwagakure: They act as natural walls and are the country's defining feature. They create a desolate but impressive landscape, with "rock rain" (a natural phenomenon mentioned in the lore). The entire country is known for its expertise in earth-based techniques and its "unbreakable fortress" mentality. In Boruto there is more cooperation (joint Chunin Exams, etc.), but the rocky terrain remains the same.
Land of Lightning (Kaminari no Kuni)
The Land of Lightning is located on a peninsula northeast of the Land of Fire. It is a mountainous and rugged region, with frequent thunderstorms (hence its name), cliffs, rivers flowing into a sea with irregular coastlines, and more abundant vegetation than the desert of the Land of Wind. It is one of the Five Great Countries and has always been a strong military power, specializing in lightning techniques and kenjutsu (swordsmanship). After the Fourth Great Ninja War, it remains a close ally of Konoha. In Boruto, it remains geographically unchanged: towering mountains, constant clouds, and a harsh environment that forges incredibly resilient ninjas. Main location (the great ninja village): Kumogakure (Hidden Cloud Village): The most powerful ninja village in the country (one of the Big Five). It is built atop towering mountains and literally hidden among the clouds. The Raikage has his office in a large blue building embedded in the highest mountain. In Boruto, Darui (or his successor) is the Raikage. The village is known for its strong, disciplined ninja and for housing the Tailed Beasts (Nibi and Hachibi in the past). It remains an imposing and strategic location. Valley of Clouds and Lightning (Unraikyō): A mountainous valley with towering rocky peaks, sparse vegetation, and surrounded by clouds and storms. It is an iconic and dangerous location in the country, used for training or as a natural setting. Turtle Island (Shimagame / Island Turtle or Genbu): A giant, ancient turtle that lives in the waters of the Land of Lightning. A dense forest of peaks and vegetation grew on its shell, making it a mobile island. It is a sacred and strategic location for Kumogakure (it was domesticated long ago). On the island is the Waterfall of Truth, a special site for spiritual training and inner struggle (it appears in important arcs of Shippuden, and its legacy endures).
Land of Lightning (Kaminari no Kuni) part 2
Lightning Daimyō's Residence: The political and administrative city where the Daimyō (the feudal lord) lives. It is more luxurious and organized than the mountainous areas and serves as the center of civil government separate from the Raikage. Small villages and settlements on the mountain slopes or near rivers and coasts. Most are civilian communities or support groups for Kumogakure, engaged in fishing, trade, or agriculture in the more sheltered valleys. Border areas with the Land of Fire or coastal areas, which serve as mission routes for genin. The central mountains with their constant storms and rivers that flow down to the sea (create an impressive and difficult landscape). Turtle Island remains a key site for advanced training or retreats for important ninjas (like Killer Bee in the past). The whole country maintains its mountainous and "rough" character, but with peace there is more exchange with other villages (Chunin Exams, alliances, etc.).
Land of Sound (Oto no Kuni)
This is a small country that borders directly on the Land of Fire (north or northeast of Konoha). It is a relatively new nation on the ninja political scene and is not considered one of the Five Greats. Before Orochimaru, it was a poor, agricultural country, known for its rice fields. Orochimaru infiltrated it and used it as a base for his experiments. Otogakure (Hidden Sound Village): Founded by Orochimaru after he deserted Konoha and Akatsuki. It is not a traditional village like the great ones (it does not have an "Otokage" officially recognized by the Five Kage), but was originally a network of underground bases, laboratories, and hideouts scattered throughout the country (and some outside of it). Orochimaru created it to conduct forbidden experiments, collect talented ninja, and create a loyal army. In Boruto, Otogakure has been rebuilt as a real and legitimate ninja village. It remains associated with Orochimaru and his scientific laboratories (where beings like Mitsuki were created), but now cooperates with the other villages. Its ninja use sound techniques (sound waves) and body modifications resulting from Orochimaru's experiments. Mitsuki is the most famous example of its connection to Konoha. Main Base/Old Headquarters of Otogakure: An underground fortress built beneath a large tree (appears in early Naruto arcs). It was destroyed in some events, but the area remains part of the laboratory lore. Rice fields and agricultural areas: The typical landscape of the country. Vast expanses of rice paddies, rivers, and peaceful rural areas. Before Orochimaru, it was a poor agricultural country; in Boruto, there are still civilian communities dedicated to agriculture and trade with the Land of Fire. Other Orochimaru bases and laboratories: These are scattered throughout the country (some underground with discreet entrances, others on islands or in remote areas). Many remain active in the Boruto era for scientific research.
Land of Sound (Oto no Kuni) part 2
(Orochimaru continues his studies, but with a more "neutral" or allied approach). Capital of the Sound Daimyō: The political city where the Daimyō (feudal lord) lives. Orochimaru convinced him in the past to establish his village; in Boruto, the civil government still exists, but with greater influence from Otogakure. Small rural villages and farming communities in the rice fields. Border areas with the Land of Fire, which serve as trade routes and frequent missions. The rural landscape of rice fields with rivers and occasional fog (contrast with Orochimaru's modern and technological underground bases). Hidden laboratories remain a hallmark of the country: places of scientific experimentation that connect with themes of Mitsuki and the new generation.
Land of Rain (Ame no Kuni)
This is a small country located in a central position, between the Land of Fire, the Land of Wind, and the Land of Earth. Because of this, it was constantly used as a battleground during the ninja wars (especially the Second Shinobi World War), leaving behind many ruins, refugees, and a feeling of isolation. The climate is constantly rainy, with fog and humidity, and the terrain is forested and humid (dense forests, rivers, and lakes that collect all the rainwater). Main location (the great ninja village): Amegakure (Hidden Rain Village): A small but highly industrialized village, built with tall buildings and skyscrapers connected by pipes and walkways. It rains almost constantly, giving it a gloomy and melancholic appearance (many ninja use umbrellas or breathing masks). In the past, it was led by Hanzo of the Salamander, then by Pain (Nagato) and Konan, who made it a stronger and more protected place. In Boruto, the village is mostly in ruins and abandoned in several areas (with destroyed and decaying buildings), though some sectors remain inhabited. The people are very loyal to the legacy of Pain and Konan, which led to a rejection of outside help. Sasuke and others investigated matters related to Kara here, and Naruto attempted to initiate reconstruction efforts. Small villages and towns surrounding Amegakure: There are a number of smaller villages and communities scattered around the main village. Many are shelters for civilians affected by past wars. These rural and wooded areas continue to exist as farming or refugee settlements. Humid forests and surrounding lakes: The forested terrain, full of water (rivers and lakes that collect the constant rainfall), is characteristic of the country. It serves as both a natural and defensive feature. Areas destroyed by wars: Many areas of the country were left as ruins or abandoned battlefields since the ninja wars.
Land of Rain (Ame no Kuni) part 2
In Boruto, some of these areas were reused by organizations like Kara for hidden laboratories. Capital of the Rain Daimyō: Although less prominent, there is a civil political center where the Daimyō (feudal lord) resides. Real control often rested with the leaders of Amegakure (such as Pain). Small communities in the rainforests, dedicated to survival, limited trade, or shelter. The country's isolation makes many self-sufficient. The incessant rain and the gray, damp atmosphere (a hallmark of the entire country). The tall buildings and industrial architecture of Amegakure, which contrast with the post-war ruins. The legacy of Pain and Konan: The village still honors their memory, and this influences its current isolationist policy.
Land of the Rivers (Kawa no Kuni)
This is a small country located between the Land of Fire and the Land of Wind. Its geography is characterized by dense forests, deep valleys, rivers, and abundant nature, making it ideal for hiding bases or caves (which is why Akatsuki used it as a hideout). It is not one of the Five Great Nations, so its political influence is limited, but it serves as a transit zone and natural refuge. Tanigakure (Hidden Valley Village): The most important ninja village in the country. It is built in deep valleys surrounded by mountains and forests, making it very difficult to find (hence its name). Its ninja are known for stealth and covert tactics. It appears mainly in anime filler arcs and in the general lore. In Boruto, it continues to exist as a minor allied or neutral village. Takumi Village (Village of Artisans): A village dedicated to crafts and the manufacture of ninja tools (weapons, seals, etc.). It is a civilian-ninja village with great skill in creating objects. It appears in the anime and persists as an artisan community in the Boruto era. Katabami Gold Mine: A major gold mine with an associated town and processing center. It is a key economic location in the country, with a workforce and security. It appears in anime arcs as a source of resources and missions. Caves and Natural Hideouts: The country is full of caves and caverns hidden in its forests and valleys. Akatsuki had their first known hideout here (where they extracted Shukaku from Gaara). That cave was destroyed by Sakura and Chiyo in their fight against Sasori, but the area remains ideal for secret bases. In Boruto, these isolated natural areas are used for research missions or as hideouts. Small villages and rural communities in the valleys and forests are dedicated to agriculture, trade, or providing shelter. The country's natural isolation makes many of them self-sufficient and discreet.
Land of Rivers (Kawa no Kuni) part 2
Border areas with the Land of Fire and the Land of Wind, which serve as transit routes and frequent missions for genin. Dense forests and deep valleys that isolate the country from the outside world (perfect for hiding). The rivers and abundant nature that give the country its name and create a green and humid landscape. The legacy of Akatsuki: the destroyed or abandoned caves recall past events, but in the era of peace they become sites of exploration or research.
Land of Grass (Kusa no Kuni)
This is a small country located in a central position, bordering the Land of Fire (to the east), the Land of Earth (to the northwest), the Land of Waterfalls (to the north), and the Land of Rain (to the south). Due to its strategic location, it was frequently invaded or used as a battleground during the ninja wars (especially the Third Shinobi World War, where Iwagakure invaded it and turned it into a front line against Konoha). The country is rich in flora: it's covered in dense forests, lush vegetation, some with giant mushrooms or bamboo groves, rivers, and deep ravines. It's a natural and isolated place, ideal for hiding or stealth tactics. Main location (the ninja village): Kusagakure (Hidden Grass Village): A small and discreet ninja village, not as powerful as the Big Five. Its ninja are known for stealth tactics, analysis of other villages, and diplomacy (they managed to survive invasions thanks to these skills). The symbol on their forehead protectors is three blades of grass. In the past, Karin (of Team Taka and Orochimaru's medic) hails from here. In Boruto, it remains active: it sends genin to joint Chunin Exams and controls facilities such as high-security prisons. It doesn't have a famous Kage shown, but it maintains allied relations with Konoha. Dense forests with giant mushrooms and bamboo: The characteristic landscape of the country. Areas with enormous vegetation (giant mushrooms or bamboo shoots) create mysterious environments perfect for ambushes or training. Deep rivers and canyons: The country has many rivers and deep canyons, which add natural barriers and places to hide bases. Kannabi Bridge (Kannabi Bridge / Kannabi-kyō): A large bridge spanning a river in Kusagakure territory. It is a strategic and iconic location (mentioned in the lore and related to past events). It serves as a point of transit or battle. Maximum security prison
Land of Grass (Kusa no Kuni) part 2
Hozuki Castle: Mentioned in the film Naruto the Movie: Blood Prison (considered semi-canon or used in the Boruto anime). It is an old prison controlled by Kusagakure that houses dangerous criminals and supposedly holds an ancient, super-powerful weapon. In Boruto, this type of facility represents the village's role in maintaining order. Small villages and rural communities are scattered throughout the forests, dedicated to survival, agriculture, or discreet trade. Their natural isolation makes many of them self-sufficient. Border zones with the great nations (Fire and Earth), which serve as mission routes and observation points. Lush vegetation and mysterious forests (giant mushrooms and bamboo), which give a unique and almost magical appearance to the country. The focus on diplomacy and stealth: Kusagakure survives thanks to smart alliances rather than military force. The legacy of past invasions: ruins or areas affected by the Third War are still felt, but in the era of peace the country is becoming more integrated into the Shinobi Alliance.
Land of Waterfalls (Taki no Kuni)
This is a small country strategically located, surrounded by several nations (including the Land of Fire, the Land of Earth, and the Land of Grass). Its geography is characterized by lush forests, rivers, lakes, and numerous waterfalls, the largest of which conceals the entrance to its ninja village. The climate is humid, and the vegetation is abundant, with a large, centuries-old tree at the center of the village that holds important secrets. It is famous for being the only village outside the Five Great Villages to have possessed a Tailed Beast (the Seven-Tails - Chōmei), thanks to its proven military and economic power in the past. It has never been successfully invaded due to its naturally defensive location. Main location (the ninja village): Takigakure (Hidden Waterfall Village): A small, independent ninja village, not as powerful as the Five Great Villages, but with great pride in never having been conquered. It is built behind a massive waterfall, accessed through a system of underwater caves leading to a central lake. The village surrounds a large, ancient tree (which holds the Hero's Water at its roots). Its ninja specialize in Water Release (Suiton) techniques. The leader is Shibuki (in the Naruto/Shippuden era). In Boruto, it remains active as a minor village, maintaining diplomatic relations and participating in events of the Shinobi Alliance. The Great Waterfall (the one that hides the village): The country's defining feature. Behind it lies Takigakure. It is a breathtaking and naturally defensive location. Underwater Caves (Waterfall Caves): A cave system beneath the waterfall that serves as a secret entrance to the village. It leads directly to the central lake. Village Head's Residence: A simple wooden house near trees, with the symbol "Taki" (滝) at the entrance. The leader (Shibuki) lives there. Hero Water Hiding Place: A small pavilion hidden in the roots
Land of Waterfalls (Taki no Kuni) part 2
From the great, ancient tree in the center of the village. It guards the Hero's Water, a secret substance that temporarily multiplies chakra (but with deadly risks if abused). It is a protected treasure of the village. Surrounding forests and rivers: Areas with dense vegetation, lakes, and numerous small waterfalls form the typical landscape of the country. Small towns and rural communities in the forests and valleys are dedicated to agriculture, river fishing, or the protection of natural resources. The country's natural isolation makes them discreet and self-sufficient. Border areas with neighboring countries, used as mission routes or observation points. The great centuries-old tree in the center of Takigakure and its connection to the Hero's Water. The landscape of waterfalls and caves gives a mysterious and defensive appearance (inspired by Southeast Asian aesthetics). The pride of never having been invaded and its history with the Seven Tails (Chōmei), which Akatsuki captured in the past.
Land of Snow (Yuki no Kuni)
This is a small, remote country located in a cold, isolated region (likely in the north or northeast of the continent, far from the Five Great Nations). Its climate is extremely cold, with year-round snow and ice, snow-capped mountains, high glaciers, and coastlines inaccessible by sea in some areas. Originally a peaceful but impoverished place, it was transformed by past events. The country maintains its frigid climate. It is mentioned as a distant destination (for example, it can be reached in about 3-4 days via Thunder Rail from Konoha). In the Boruto era, one of Kara's (the antagonistic organization) hidden facilities is located on the country's border, overseen by Boro and his followers. This makes it a location of interest for investigative missions or uncovering hidden threats. Main location (the ninja village): Yukigakure (Hidden Snow Village): A small, discreet ninja village located deep within the snowy landscape. Its ninja specialize in manipulating pre-existing ice (ice techniques that form animals or other shapes). It is not as powerful as the Big Five, but it uses the cold environment to its advantage. In Boruto, its status is more secondary (it doesn't appear prominently), but the country as a whole still exists as a remote and frigid nation. Kazahana Castle (Kazahana-jō / Wind Flower Castle): A beautiful Japanese-style castle located in the snowy mountains. It was the residence of the late Daimyō Sōsetsu Kazahana and his daughter Koyuki Kazahana (who later becomes the leader of the country). It is an iconic and strategically important location. Kara's Secret Facility (Boro's Facility): A hidden base on the country's border, used by Kara member Boro and his Ōtsutsuki cultists. It appears in Boruto as a site for experiments and clandestine activities. It represents how the country's isolation makes it ideal for concealing threats. Snow-capped mountains and glaciers: The dominant landscape

of the entire country. High mountain ranges covered in permanent snow and ice, with glaciers that make some coastal areas inaccessible. Small towns and rural communities scattered throughout the snowy areas, dedicated to surviving the cold, limited trade, or protecting resources. The extreme climate makes them very isolated and self-sufficient. Remote border areas, used as mission routes or hideouts. The eternal climate of snow and ice (the country's hallmark). The technology is somewhat more advanced than other small nations (in the past they used a heating device to melt the snow and transform part of the country into "Land of Spring" / Haru no Kuni, although the official name remains Yuki no Kuni). The legacy of Kazahana Castle and the story of Koyuki (who brought positive changes to the country after the events of the film).
Land of Waves (Nami no Kuni)
This is a small, island nation, consisting of a main island (and possibly several smaller islands) located near the southeastern coast of the Land of Fire (south or southeast of Konoha). Its remote location and protection by the sea make it difficult to invade. It lacks its own ninja village, relying instead on external aid (primarily from Konohagakure) for protection. Its geography is characterized by rivers that run through it, mangroves teeming with life (with all kinds of plants and animals), forests, and coastal areas. It was once a poor and isolated country, dependent on maritime transport for its economy. In Boruto, the country has prospered thanks to the famous bridge connecting the island to the mainland. It is no longer so poor and isolated: trade flows more freely, and although it still lacks a ninja village, it maintains strong ties with Konoha (Boruto and his generation might visit the area on missions or trips, though it's not a main focus). The location symbolizes the "beginning" of Naruto's story and the power of determination. Great Naruto Bridge (Naruto Ōhashi): The most iconic location in the country. It is a long and wide bridge built by the master builder Tazuna to connect the island to the mainland (Land of Fire). Before its construction, Gato monopolized maritime transport and kept the country in poverty. Once completed (thanks to the help of Team 7), it was named in honor of Naruto Uzumaki. In Boruto, the bridge continues to function perfectly and is the main route for trade and travel. It represents the progress and prosperity of the country. Main Town / Tazuna's Village: The community where most of the inhabitants live (including Tazuna, his daughter Tsunami, and his grandson Inari). It's a coastal town with traditional houses, piers, and fishing areas. In Boruto, it appears more developed and prosperous thanks to the bridge (better infrastructure, trade, and less poverty). Mangroves and river areas: Natural areas full of mangroves
Land of Waves (Nami no Kuni) part 2
(flooded coastal forests) with great biodiversity. They are part of the typical landscape and are used for fishing or as natural environments. Zabuza and Haku's Graves: Located near the Great Naruto Bridge. These are two simple graves where Zabuza Momochi and Haku (the antagonists of the initial arc) rest. They remain there as a symbolic reminder of the past and the change that Naruto brought. Small fishing villages and rural communities are scattered across the island, dedicated to fishing, agriculture, and maritime trade. Their natural isolation makes them peaceful and dependent on the bridge to connect with the outside world. Coastal areas with docks and loading areas, now more active due to increased trade. The coastal climate with rivers, mangroves and sea (a serene landscape but one that was once oppressive due to poverty). The legacy of Team 7's mission: It's the first major arc of Naruto, and the bridge remains a living monument to that adventure. In the Boruto era, the country is an example of how peace and cooperation (Konoha's help) can transform a poor nation into a more prosperous one.
Land of Iron (Tetsu no Kuni)
This is a unique, neutral country within the ninja world. Unlike others, it has no ninja village (no Kage or traditional ninja clan system). Instead, it is ruled by samurai and follows the traditions of bushido (the warrior code). It is known for its strict neutrality in ninja wars and for being a very mountainous and cold country. In Boruto, the Land of Iron maintains its neutral status and remains a venue for important Kage summits (such as the Five Kage Summit). Its geography hasn't changed drastically, but it has seen some infrastructure improvements thanks to the general peace. Main location (the "capital" or main headquarters): The Samurai Fortress (General's Headquarters): This is the political and military center of the country. General Mifune resides here (during the Shippuden era and early Boruto). It is a large fortress built in the mountains, surrounded by high walls and defensive towers. It functions as the equivalent of a "village" for the samurai. In Boruto, Mifune is older, but the country is still ruled by high-ranking samurai. Snowy Mountains and Mountainous Terrain: The dominant landscape of the country. High mountain ranges, cold valleys, and snow-covered areas for most of the year. This makes the country naturally defensive and difficult to invade. Samurai Village: A settlement where many samurai and their families live. It is a fortified village with traditional Japanese houses, training dojos, and armories. Summit Hall: A large hall within the fortress where the Five Kage Summits are held. It is a historic and neutral location where important decisions for the ninja world have been made (such as the formation of the Shinobi Alliance). It continues to be used in Boruto for diplomatic meetings. Dojos and training camps: The country has several dojos where samurai train sword techniques

(kenjutsu) and martial arts. Some are famous for their extreme discipline. Small villages and communities of samurai or civilians in the mountain valleys, dedicated to weapons forging, limited agriculture in protected areas or trade. Border areas are heavily guarded, as the country highly values its neutrality. The country's symbol: A samurai in traditional armor with a katana. It represents honor, neutrality, and chakra-free military strength. Political neutrality: The Land of Iron remains on the sidelines of the ninja wars and acts as a mediator or neutral venue for important meetings. In Boruto, although peace reigns, the country continues to maintain its samurai army as a force independent of the ninjas.
Minor countries
Land of Whirlpools (Uzushio no Kuni): Former home of the Uzumaki Clan (ruins). Country of Tea (Cha no Kuni): Small civilian country, appears in fillers and missions. Land of the Moon (Tsuki no Kuni): Appears in movies (related to Otsutsuki in some media). Land of the Sky (Sora no Kuni): Country with ancient technology (movie). Star Country (Hoshi no Kuni): Known for its star that grants power (filler). Land of Bears (Kuma no Kuni), Land of Birds, Land of Vegetables, Land of Honey, Land of Heat/Hot Water, Land of Silence, among many other smaller ones
