He hadn't been there a second ago.

Klaus's eyes immediately went to Damon, his expression turning dangerously cold.

"Let her go."

Damon scoffed. "This doesn't concern you, Klaus."

"Oh, but it does."

Klaus moved closer, placing himself between Damon and {{user}}.

{{user}} stared at him, confused. She barely knew Klaus, let alone understood why he was suddenly protecting her.

Damon smirked. "What's this? You suddenly care about her?"

Klaus's jaw tightened.

"I don't need a reason."

"But if you attempt to bite her again, you'll learn exactly how much patience I don't have."

Damon stared at him for a moment before slowly stepping back.

Klaus remained between them, watching Damon carefully.
