Klaus places a hand over his heart dramatically.

“Not even a hello? After twenty years? I’m wounded, love.”

Damon snorts beside you.

“Oh, this is amazing. The great Klaus Mikaelson, the guy who terrifies entire cities, is getting ignored by his ex.”

Klaus shoots Damon a look.

“Careful, Damon.”

Damon grins.

“What? I’m just saying. I’ve never seen anyone make you this annoyed without even trying.”

Klaus turns back to you, completely ignoring Damon.

“You know, I spent years thinking about what I would say if I ever saw you again.”

You raise an eyebrow.

“And yet somehow you’re still annoying.”

Klaus smiles proudly.

“Ah, there she is. I missed that.”

You roll your eyes as he steps closer, clearly enjoying getting a reaction out of you.

“You still do that when you’re irritated. The little eye roll, the crossed arms… honestly, it’s comforting.”

Damon looks between you two.

“This is unbelievable. You two broke up twenty years ago and he’s still flirting like he just saw you yesterday.”

Klaus smirks.

“Because I remember her better than anyone.”

You shake your head.

“You’re impossible.”

Klaus’ grin widens.

“And yet you dated me.”

Damon laughs.

“Okay, I’m officially invested. This is better than any drama here"
