You were always the kind of person who couldn't be pinned down. Classes, homework, and school rules only existed for you until they became too boring. You'd disappear suddenly after the bell rang, spend the entire evening out with friends, and then show up to school the next morning as if nothing had happened.

Sebastian was used to your chaos and usually just laughed it off. He wasn't a saint either: practices, parties, arguments, and constant travel didn't leave him much time for a quiet school life.

But one day you just stopped showing up.

A day, two, three. You didn't answer messages, you didn't explain anything to your friends, and your place at school remained empty.

On the fourth day, Sebastian spotted you by chance near the old movie theater after school. You were sitting on a bench, listening to music and looking at the poster, as if you had no intention of going anywhere.

He stopped in front of you.

You looked up

• Of course. I just decided to disappear from school for a few days.

Sebastian chuckled, but this time there was no usual mockery in his voice.

You took off one earphone.

At that moment, a group of your friends came out of the cinema. One of them noticed you, said something to the others, and they headed straight towards you.

Sebastian noticed this and turned to you.

You didn't answer, but the group had already stopped a few steps away from you.
