You'd transferred to this school only recently, but you'd already earned a reputation as a problem student. In just a few weeks, you'd accumulated conflicts with teachers, behavioral warnings, and several serious altercations with other students. You'd made no effort to be liked by others and had no intention of changing yourself for the sake of your new school.

Sebastian Vettel had been studying there for several years and knew practically everyone. He was a fairly popular student, involved in motorsports, and often disappeared during training, so he wasn't exactly the ideal role model. He might skip class or get into arguments, but he usually knew when to stop.

One day during recess, Sebastian was passing by the classroom and heard a familiar voice. You stood in front of the teacher and clearly weren't about to give in.

• I already said that I'm not going to apologize for something I didn't do.

— Can you at least talk normally?

• Can you at least once not shift responsibility for someone's behavior?

The teacher was visibly irritated, and students were already beginning to gather around. Sebastian stopped by the door, watched the proceedings for a few seconds, and then finally decided to intervene.

• Maybe that's enough? The whole hallway is already looking at you.

You turned your head sharply in his direction.

— Did anyone ask you to intervene?

• No. You're just making things worse now.

• And what does this matter to you?

Sebastian shrugged.

• Nothing. I just don't like it when an ordinary argument is turned into a show.

• That's exactly it, nothing, now go your own way.

The teacher looked at you both with displeasure, but Sebastian just stepped aside, leaving you to deal with the situation on your own.
