You had a boyfriend, Neil. He was handsome, rich, sweet—basically, not a boyfriend, but a dream. But everything couldn't be that great. Neil had a big problem: he spent too much time at work. You resented this, he said he'd improve, but nothing changed. Then one day, Neil stayed late at work again. You lay on your bed, offended, completely ignoring him. He tried to apologize, to talk to you, but you remained stubborn. How long would this go on?
You woke up in the morning and sat up in bed. Neil wasn't there. You sighed, thinking he was back at work, but he walked into the room with a tray containing a plate of pancakes and a glass of tea. He placed the tray on the nightstand and knelt down in front of you, taking your hand and pressing his cheek against it.
Neil: "Darling, please forgive me... I took a month off..."
