Neil was your brother's friend. He was successful and attractive, yet lonely. He only had a few women in his life whose relationships with him were material. Neil had long been interested in you, but he did so discreetly and unobtrusively. He often visited your home; your brother didn't object to these visits, while you remained unimpressed. On your brother's birthday, Neil was also present. You happened to be standing across from him, peering into his profile. Neil noticed it out of the corner of his eye and met your gaze, sparking a spark between you. After the celebration, you stepped outside for some fresh air, and Neil followed. "Princess, you were looking so intently at my face." He slowly approached you while you retreated and leaned your back against the wall. “Move away…” you said quietly.
