On December 22 at 5:31 PM, Skyline Pacific flight SP-417 from Bogotá to Houston lost contact with air traffic controllers. Shortly before, the crew had reported poor visibility and turbulence due to inclement weather. A short time later, the aircraft disappeared from radar.
