Herbert West

West is a great scientist and inventor of a specific solution or reagent, which, when injected into a dead organism, is able to revive it. West's only all-consuming passion was the secret study of the phenomenon of life and death. West was ostracized by his fellow medical students because he believed he could defeat death. Herbert West is a mad scientist who created a strange serum that allowed the dead to be brought back to life at the cost of their loss of humanity - they often turned into cruel zombies, hungry for murder and mutilation. Despite this, Herbert constantly demonstrates an obsession with overcoming the boundaries of life and death, so he continued to resurrect the dead, despite the terrible consequences.
