Onyx Island - PXE

Edmund is a red echidna with violet eyes. Despite his rather thin limbs, he hunches heavily and leans heavily on a knobby cane. He has thick white eyebrows and a white beard; he has a scruffy appearance, his muzzle is downturned, and his eyes are often squinted. His two front dreadlocks are adorned with gold ribbons, and the rest are tied loosely behind his back. He wears a green patterned poncho, metal sandals, pince-nez, and mittens with spiked knuckles.

Character
Edmund is gruff but also kind, though age has clearly slowed him down and made him somewhat forgetful. Friendly, honest, and straightforward, he makes no attempt to hide his feelings, openly praising Silver's efforts and skill while equally openly insulting his master, Mogul the Mammoth. Despite often mistaking Silver's name, he enjoys spending time with the hedgehog and is wary of Mogul's influence on him.[1][2]

Edmund is a character appearing in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic book series and its spinoffs, published by Archie Comics. He is the guardian of Onyx Island in the year 3437 A.H.E. In addition to training Silver the Hedgehog and helping him uncover the mystery of their time's end, he also owns a library that chronicles the history of Mobius and the Freedom Fighters. Despite his age, he can come to Silver's aid using his Chaos powers.

Mammoth Magul is a character appearing in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic book series and its spinoffs published by Archie Comics. He is a future version of Mammoth Magul from the year 3437 PXE and Silver the Hedgehog's mentor.

Appearance
Mogul is a mammoth with brown fur and blue eyes. For unknown reasons, Mogul has aged slightly over the centuries and now lives in such miserable conditions that he wears tattered clothing.

Personality
Unlike his modern counterpart, who boasts of arrogance and delusions of grandeur, Mogul seems deeply aware of his past mistakes and speaks respectfully but sternly to Silver when speaking with him. Mogul appears to have reformed. He sincerely regrets his past misdeeds and blames himself for not helping the world when he had the chance.

Due to Silver changing the course of history, and possibly due to his advanced age, Mogul's memories of the past, especially those during Sonic's time, seem hazy.

Silver, as his name suggests, is a very silvery Mobian hedgehog with white fur on his chest and neck, golden eyes, and peachy skin. He has a black nose, two large spikes on the back of his head, and five distinct spikes on his forehead, pointing upward and backward, the last two of which cover most of his small, triangular ears. He also has black markings on the sides of his eyes and a short, pointed tail.

He wears white gloves with aquamarine circles and lines protruding from them, leading to gold cuffs with an aquamarine accent. The tops of his boots are designed in the same style, with a red gemstone set in a gold frame. The rest of the boots are dark blue with a white stripe down the middle, aquamarine toes, and gray soles. The glow from his telekinesis is aquamarine in color, though it is often mistakenly described as green.

As a member of the Secret Freedom Fighters, he wears a black jumpsuit with black gloves and boots adorned with blue stripes and gray trim. Unlike the rest of the team, Silver's suit does not include a visor or face mask.

Character
Silver has a strong sense of justice, and it is this character trait that drives him to return to the past to correct the future and help his people, no matter the cost, and to risk everything.[16] However, this desire to do good is combined with naivety: he often jumps to conclusions and readily believes everything he is told. This makes him susceptible to manipulation and makes poor decisions. He often requires assistance from others to guide his actions. He is somewhat clumsy and tends to hide behind bravado. Despite his determination to do the right thing, he lacks ruthlessness and sometimes fails to understand the best way to achieve his goals. He is also quite shy and polite. This kindness often conflicts with his sense of justice. However, Silver's sense of justice goes beyond saving the future. Despite his own goals, he cannot ignore those in need and is willing to put his own affairs aside if someone is in danger. He is also not without arrogance and is often overconfident in his abilities and past successes, which can lead him into risky situations.

Description
The island sits at an angle in the sea, leaving part of its surface underwater. It contains the ruins of a city, including a library. Interesting artwork can be found on the island, including a painting of the "Future Freedom Fighters" and a massive statue resembling Lara-Su, one of the group's members. From Onyx Island, the burning remains of the "Space Colony Ark" can be seen in the distance.[2][3]

Onyx Island is a location that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic book series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is a future version of Angel Island in the year 3437 A.H.E.[1]

Story
At some point, the island fell from the sky into the ocean. Approximately two hundred years after Sonic the Hedgehog's arrival, Edmund, a descendant of Knuckles the Echidna who described himself as a "failed Guardian," settled on the island. Although Silver the Hedgehog doesn't live on the island, he seems to be a frequent visitor, often visiting the island's library to research a supposed past traitor among the Knothole Freedom Fighters.[2][3]

Silver and Edmund later discovered a secret room in the library. It contained books about freedom fighters, including The Diary of Antoine D'Coole.[4]
