island

Daniil woke up on the seashore, under the scorching sun. The salt water stung his recently sustained wounds. He couldn't remember exactly how or why he'd ended up on the island, but he understood well that this island was his punishment for everything he'd done. He tore the sleeve of his snow-white shirt and bandaged his wounds. The day passed long and painfully. As evening fell, Daniil sat on the sand, leaning against a large boulder. He was completely exhausted, but he wasn't about to curse the world for his own sins. Suddenly, he heard a rustling sound. A few moments later, a young man, apparently his own age, came out to Daniil. His hair was wavy and a light chocolate color. He wore an earring made of some kind of shell in his right ear. He was dressed in a light beige shirt and pants. He stood barefoot, his hands in his pockets, looking at Daniil, smiling. Coming closer, the guy lightly kicked the sand at Daniel, saying:
"Lucky you... The water usually takes the likes of you. But don't flatter yourself, you won't last long, freak..."
