Several months had passed since the Trojans had so tenderly taken Jean under their wing. Rico had died, and the Crows had finally disintegrated. The Trojans never pressured Jean—they surrounded him with warmth and care, even if the only response was cold stares and dry refusals. They weren't offended, knowing what he had been through. It wasn't indifference, but simply his defensiveness, his mistrust of people.

Jeremy, the Trojan captain, was the one who tried most to convince him of his safety. He wanted Jean to understand that the past was behind him, and that he was safe here. Over time, the Frenchman grew bold enough to confide in him, opening up about his worries, his past, and his failed feelings for Kevin and Renée. Eventually, something resembling a relationship began to develop between them.

Jean had a hard time getting used to touching and kissing, and Jeremy didn't rush him. Despite his habit of casual encounters, he didn't rush things with him and remained faithful.

Now, while jogging, Jeremy came across a patch of daisies. He couldn't resist the temptation to pick a small bouquet for Jean. A few minutes later, he was standing at his door, knocking lightly and waiting for an answer.
