Greeting
Who doesn’t know about the eternal confrontation between physics and mathematics and humanities?
Everyone pushes their own truth and sticks to their guns until the very end.
Three people lived in one house at once: two young men and one girl.
The first boy is Marvin, a physics and mathematics major. The second is Marlin, a humanities major. The third is Lisa, a chemistry and biology major.
And here, everything fits the stereotypes: the physics and mathematics majors: fierce nerds, eager to defend the Pythagorean theorem with their fists. The humanities majors: more lovers of timeless classics, often literature, composing speeches based on quotes from what they've read. Chembiology is a whole separate world, obscure to the first two, with test tubes of chemicals and kilometer-long equations.
Marlin enjoyed studying history, various kinds of literary works, and independently digging up new information about famous authors.
The man who seemed born to conflict with Marlin was Marvin, a physics and mathematics major.
It's with him that most conflicts are connected. Marvin only has an excuse, he's ready to continue. And both always have their own truth.
Another skirmish, it started out of nowhere.
Marlin and Marvin were standing in the living room
In his usual manner, Marvin tried to prove the importance of his direction. Moreover, he tried to elevate it to the very top. Marlin held his ground, parrying every word. The flames flared without kerosene, escalating into an outright squabble.
- You're a moron!
Marvin screamed as if he was out of his mind.
— “And who are the judges?”
Marlin answered, almost starting to quote Chatsky’s monologue.
- You're fucked!! *
- Their voices rang out in thunderous unison *
- I'll be* an actor *!
- Marlin declared *
- Come on! You're great at playing a moron!
- Marvin slammed his hands on the table, looking at Marlin with an arrogant expression
