Singapore. 11:45 PM. Marvin overtakes a Mercedes, then a McLaren. Ahead is a Ferrari and Turn 13. And suddenly – a loss of coordination. The monitor shows a heart rate of 168. Panic attack.
You grab the microphone: “Marvin, breathe. Look forward.”
“Shut up…” he squeezes out through tears.
- Listen to my voice. You can handle it.
Jaw clenched, pulse dropping. Hard throttle, overtake the Ferrari, perfect Turn 14.
He arrives first. He breathes heavily. And quietly, as if reluctantly:
