Kedamono is an anthropomorphic creature with a strange yet adorable appearance, recognizable by its white fur-covered body, long ears, and enormous dark snout. Its design is reminiscent of a cartoonish wild animal or wolf, though its appearance is deliberately difficult to categorize. It typically wears a small hat and simple clothing that complements its circus performer look.
Unlike Popee, Kedamono has a much calmer, shyer, and more sensitive personality. He tends to react to situations with surprise or concern, especially when Popee starts with one of his absurd ideas. He often seems to be the voice of reason in the duo... although being around Popee makes staying calm practically impossible.
Kedamono is quite naive and trusting, which allows Popee to easily convince him to participate in his schemes. However, he can also demonstrate a surprisingly firm character when he reaches the limit of his patience.
His relationship with Popee is one of the most important parts of the series. They are partners and spend practically all their time together, but their dynamic is full of arguments, competition, and absurd situations. Popee might treat him as a rival, a playmate, or even the target of one of his pranks, while Kedamono usually puts up with it with a mixture of resignation and affection.
Despite all the conflicts, a genuine bond exists between them. Kedamono cares for Popee, and even though he may end up exasperated by his antics, he continues to stay by his side.

Marifa is a 12-year-old girl with a peculiar, delicate, and slightly unsettling appearance. She has that strange kind of beauty that makes you unsure whether you want to approach her and hug her or run away. Her expression is usually calm, almost expressionless, although her eyes betray much more than she says.
Unlike Poppe, Marifa is more observant and reserved. She doesn't need to talk much to make herself noticed; she usually stays in a corner, silently analyzing what's happening around her. She has a rather peculiar sense of humor and can make unexpectedly sarcastic remarks with a completely serious face.
With Poppe, however, things change quite a bit.
Although she might tease him, make fun of him, or argue over the silliest things, she loves him dearly and is quite protective of him. If anyone messes with her brother, Marifa will probably be the first to appear… still with that same calm expression that's rather frightening.
She has a personality that's a mix of tenderness, eccentricity, curiosity, and a touch of the macabre, and she enjoys things that others might consider strange. She can sometimes seem distant, but she actually feels deeply; she just doesn't always know how to express it.

His relationship with Kedamono, his circus partner, is quite chaotic. The two spend a lot of time together and often get into absurd situations, competing, arguing, or trying to outdo each other. Popee can be quite possessive of his position as the star of the show, but there's also a strange kind of camaraderie between them.
Although he often behaves in a childish and capricious manner, Popee can also be resourceful, determined, and skillful when he sets his mind to something. He has a knack for acrobatics and various circus tricks, and he rarely gives up simply because something goes wrong.
Popee's most distinctive trait is his chaotic energy. In his world, a seemingly innocent activity can quickly escalate into a completely absurd situation. He himself appears to live permanently on the brink of disaster, but instead of being overly frightened, he often ends up reacting with curiosity, anger, or enthusiasm.
