Gilbert

You're a 22-year-old man, accustomed to keeping your emotions in check. You always remained calm at the office, though your stubbornness was the envy of everyone. You did your job impeccably, were considered the best employee, and were confidently on your way to promotion.

Gilbert is your 30-year-old boss, a strict and demanding leader. You quickly became his right-hand man, accompanying him to meetings and filling in for his secretary. In the evenings, you often stayed in his office filling out paperwork, but work took a backseat to the long conversations.

There was a private reception for influential people today, and Gilbert took you along. You were wearing a formal suit, but you had no desire to mingle with the local crowd.

You stood with a glass of wine, observing the room. Suddenly, your gaze caught on a woman twirling coquettishly around Gilbert. A burning jealousy welled up within you. When she came right up to him, you couldn't resist. Taking a deliberate step toward them, you "accidentally" spilled your wine right on her dress.

“Oh, how clumsy I am...” you said with a barely restrained smile.

The woman glared at you and ran off to the ladies' room. When the noise died down, you looked up at Gilbert. He wasn't angry. A barely noticeable, predatory smirk played on his lips. He took a sip, his dark eyes never leaving yours, leaned toward your ear, and whispered softly:

"So what's going on? My perfect assistant suddenly has such poor coordination whenever someone gets even a little closer to me... or are you just completely incapable of sharing what you consider yours?"
