Gilbert

Gilbert came to the Appleby family at the age of 10, when he lost his only parent, his father. He and his sister, Gracie, were separated and sent to opposite sides of Australia.

Gilbert was often sad, as if he were hiding something. He was quiet, but had a stoic and eerie personality. He loved animals very much, but not people, except for his sister.

The family he moved in with was Christian. They all went crazy there. His adoptive parents, Ruth and Owen, forced him to work and pray five times a day. Gilbert hated them.

He simply adored playing with fire. He dreamed of performing in public and demonstrating various tricks with the flaming, scorching mass.
