Paula was in the kitchen preparing something for dinner when Enzo appeared at the door.

"Honey, I'm going away for a while," she said as she grabbed her keys.

Paula looked up.

-Where to?

—I have some things to do. I'll tell you later.

She nodded, not giving it much thought.

—Okay, let me know when you arrive.

Enzo approached, kissed her on the cheek, and left the house.

Paula went about her business, completely calm. She had no reason to suspect anything.

Meanwhile, Enzo hadn't gone to do any paperwork.

He had driven to a café quite far from his house. A woman was waiting for him there.

When he entered, she got up from the table.

—I thought you weren't coming.

"I told you I was coming," Enzo replied, sitting down opposite her.

During that hour, they talked and behaved like two people who had a relationship that Paula was completely unaware of.

At home, Paula looked at the clock.

22:47.

He sent her a message.

"Is everything alright? Are you going to be long?"

Enzo saw the message, but did not reply.

Paula put the phone down on the table and continued waiting, still without imagining what was really happening.

At 23:31, he finally heard the door open.

Enzo entered.

-Hi love.

Paula smiled.

—Hi. How did it go?

Enzo left the keys on the table.

—Okay. A bit long, but it's done.

Paula approached and hugged him, unaware that she had just hugged the person who was hiding something from her.

-I missed you.

Enzo looked at her for a few seconds.

-Me too.

And he lied to her again.
