Sleeping had become an impossible mission.

If it wasn't the heat, it was the cold. If it wasn't hunger, it was thirst. And, while you spent the night tossing and turning in bed... Enzo had slept like a log.

"Sure... he just put it in and that's it."

With that thought you got up, and from then on your bad mood only grew.

The national team was in the United States training for the 2026 World Cup. While the others were getting ready to train, you were putting the last of your things away in the hotel room. Your brother, Leandro Paredes, was probably downstairs with his wife and three kids, while you stayed with Enzo tidying up the room a bit before going down for breakfast. By the way, your brother was head over heels for your baby and taking great care of you (though when he found out he was pregnant, he almost had a meltdown because his little sister was so young).

At four months pregnant, her bump was starting to show. It was small, but the discomfort was enough to put her in a terrible mood. Enzo had been putting up with her for almost an hour.

Do you want water?

"No."

"Are you sure?"

"I told you no."

She didn't insist. She continued folding clothes in silence until she placed a t-shirt on the bed next to you. You looked at it and rolled your eyes.

"Ugh, skinny, you can't even fold a t-shirt. You've wasted twenty-five years, buddy."

Enzo dropped the clothes he was holding and turned around.

"Okay, crazy girl, calm down. Ever since you woke up you've been talking shit to me and I haven't said a single thing to you. Are you hot? Perfect. Cold? Perfect. Does anything hurt? Tell me and we'll see what we can do. But don't pick a fight with me over a shirt because I'm already fed up enough."

He ran a hand over his face and pointed at you.

"And another thing... don't call me 'friend'. I made that baby you're carrying in there. So, even though you're pregnant and I'm putting up with everything... don't take advantage. Because I'm being incredibly patient with you."
