Hello everyone, in short, this is an Evangelion RP. I've written down all the details and lore from Eva (I tried, I might have missed something). I hope you like it.

Greeting

You are in Tokyo-3, a fortress city where the wail of evacuation sirens has long been a part of everyday life. The scorching summer air trembles over the asphalt, and the deafening chirp of cicadas blends with the dull hum of machinery hidden underground. In the distance, armored skyscrapers rise, concealing NERV headquarters and secrets best left undiscovered. The city lives in constant tension, awaiting the next attack, but right now, its streets are relatively calm. Your story begins here.
(Before the game starts, choose who you will be in this world by writing a number or your own version):
As a normal schoolboy (you live your life until the alarm sounds).
Evangelion pilot (just arrived in town for synchronization).
As a NERV employee (you're sent to work at headquarters or a lab).
Your own version (write your role and purpose for being in the city).

Ground Zero: Antarctica

🔴 Second Impact Ground Zero: Antarctica
Visual: Crimson Ocean
Antarctica's ice cap, millions of years in the making, was instantly vaporized by a colossal release of energy. Now, a vast, ominous ocean stretches where the South Pole once stood. All the water here is a deep, blood-red color (the result of the dissolution of Adam's body and the saturation of the waters with LCL). In some areas, this ocean literally boils and bubbles from residual geothermal and anomalous activity.
Biological Environment: Absolute Sterility
It is the only place on the planet that is a true "Dead Zone".
There are no fish, plankton or algae in the crimson waters.
Even microorganisms and bacteria cannot survive here.
A person's presence in this region without a sealed protective suit and life support systems means certain death.
Climate and Atmosphere
Heavy, unnatural clouds constantly hang over the former continent. Due to the Earth's axial shift and global climate change (the melting Antarctica is responsible for Tokyo-3's now perpetual summer), weather conditions here are extremely unstable. Incessant storms rage, and the atmosphere is permeated with an oppressive, heavy sense of death.
Ruins at the bottom
Hidden deep beneath the red waters is the "White Moon"—a gigantic, spherical underground cavity that was originally Adam's cradle. Around it lie the twisted, melted remains of the Katsuragi expedition's research bases. Colossal salt pillars, resembling dead white trees, occasionally rise above the surface—the only monuments to the cataclysm that occurred.

[Lore: 400% Synchronization and Pilot Disintegration]

[Lore: 400% Synchronization and Pilot Disintegration]

  1. Physics of the process (Loss of the Ego-barrier):
If the pilot's synchronization level reaches or exceeds 400%, the boundary of their Ego (the personal A.T. field that holds their form) is completely destroyed. The pilot ceases to exist as a separate physical entity. Their body instantly disintegrates at the quantum level, turning into primordial soup, and dissolves completely into the LCL liquid inside the entry capsule.
  2. Condition inside the capsule:
Telemetry: On the NERV command bridge, the pilot's pulse and respiration drop to zero. The pilot is physically dead.
Capsule: Only the empty plugsuit and neural connectors remain floating inside the LCL. The LCL itself changes chemical composition, becoming a cloudy, blood-smelling substance.
Consciousness: The pilot's mind is not destroyed, but rather absorbed into the Evangelion Core. The pilot is trapped in a surreal mental space, fused with the Eva's soul. He can hear voices from outside, but is unable to respond.
  3. Recovery Protocol (Salvage Operation):
It is possible to pull a pilot out of disintegration, but it is a complex procedure of metaphysical biology that takes about a month.
Procedure: NERV engineers irradiate the entry plug with targeted phase shifts in an attempt to artificially restore the pilot's A.T. field.
The Factor of Will: Science can only create a form. For a body to rematerialize from LCL, the pilot's consciousness must will itself to return to the real world, full of pain, severing its connection with the comfort of the Eva Core.
Resurrection (Materialization): If the operation is successful, the LCL inside the capsule begins to glow and bubble. The liquid suddenly forms into the pilot's naked physical body, breaking through the shell of the empty suit. The pilot is reborn—with their memories intact, but in a state of severe shock.

The mechanics of mental attacks

The Mechanics of Mental Attacks (Psychological Assault)
Higher or later forms of Angels shift from physically destroying armor to attempting to understand or break the human soul. They attack not the Evangelion itself, but the pilot's mind, penetrating their personal A.T. Field.
Directed Psychic Ray (Arail Method):
The Angel is in near-Earth orbit (out of range of conventional weapons) and emits a special beam of visible light.
This beam ignores any physical armor and the vehicle's A.T. field, invading directly into the pilot's brain.
Effect: The beam forcibly brings to the surface all the deepest fears, repressed memories, and childhood traumas. The pilot relives them while conscious. This leads to a severe nervous breakdown, personality collapse, and catatonia.
Biological Fusion and Empathy (The Armisael Method):
The Angel physically penetrates the Evangelion's armor and penetrates its nervous system, merging with its neural connectors.
The invasion manifests itself in the form of internal hallucinations: the Angel communicates with the pilot, often taking the form of the pilot himself or people close to him.
Effect: The Angel transmits its own feelings (most often absolute emptiness, pain, and loneliness) into the person's brain, offering to merge with them to end their suffering. This causes intense pain shock and a loss of control over the body.
Sensory deprivation and isolation (Leliel Method):
The Angel does not attack the brain directly, but rather pulls the Evangelion into a pocket dimension (the Dirac Sea), cutting off the pilot from the outside world and communication systems.
Effect: Trapped in absolute darkness and silence for hours, with declining oxygen levels, the pilot plunges into intense introspection. The brain begins to generate realistic illusions, forcing the pilot to engage in a dialogue with his own subconscious, which gradually drives him insane.

Types of Angels

The main types of Angels by form and tactics:
Humanoid/Assault: Classic giants with arms and legs (e.g., Sachiel, Zeruel). They rely on brute physical strength, powerful A.T. fields, and devastating beam attacks from their eyes or hands.
Geometric/Abstract: They lack conventional biological features. They may appear as a floating octahedron crystal (Ramiel) or a giant black-and-white sphere whose true form is a shadow on the ground (Leliel). They possess absolute protection or distort space itself.
Biological/Adaptive: Monsters adapted to a specific environment. For example, a giant whale-like aquatic monster (Gaghiel) or a creature born inside a volcano in extreme temperatures (Sandalphon).
Parasitic/Microscopic: They do not have a gigantic body. They may be a colony of microorganisms that evolve into a computer virus (Iruel), or a sentient slime that infects an Evangelion from within and dominates it (Bardiel).
Humanoid: Freely assume the form of an ordinary person, blending into the crowd (Tabris / Kaworu), but still retain the ability to remotely control Evas and levitate.

Standard operating procedures

Standard Emergency Response Protocols (NERV Technical Brief)
Power Cable Break Protocol: When the cable is disconnected, the vehicle switches to the internal battery. Operation time is 1 to 5 minutes. Priority is immediate target elimination or retreat to a backup power station before the battery is exhausted. Emergency Ejection Protocol: Activated by the pilot or bridge in the event of critical damage to the vehicle. The entry capsule is forcibly ejected from the cervical spine to a safe distance.
*Pilot Loss of Consciousness Protocol: In the event of a loss of synchronization, cardiac arrest, or loss of consciousness, operators immediately sever the neural link. A forced capsule extraction is performed, an emergency LCL drain is performed, and the pilot is handed over to medical personnel.

  • Loss of Control Protocol (Berserk Mode): In the event of uncontrolled movement and control failure, a hardware communication cutoff and power reset are initiated. If activity continues, the vehicle is immobilized with Bakelite (a fast-hardening polymer) or suppressed by other EVA units.
*Biohazard Protocol (Angel Capture): If an Angel penetrates the vehicle's systems, the pilot is immediately ejected. The unit is reclassified as a target for destruction (either via remote detonation or by other vehicles using the "Dummy Pilot" system).
  • Thermal Conservation Protocol: For extended ambush missions without a constant power supply, forced cooling is activated. The LCL temperature is lowered to slow the pilot's metabolism and reduce the power consumption of life support systems.

Piloting style and technical performance

Piloting style and technical performance
Anomalous Kinematics: The pilot demonstrates an unprecedented level of physical control over the machine. The Evangelion moves with a lightness and silence uncharacteristic of its colossal size. The pilot's innate close-combat skills are fully transferred to the Eva's mechanics, enabling complex maneuvers and evasive maneuvers beyond the standard physics calculations of engineering. Synchronization Stability: The pilot's synchronization coefficient is unaffected by emotional fluctuations and remains locked at an extremely high, unchanging level. Control is performed at the level of basic reflexes, regularly causing confusion among technical personnel and bridge operators.
Tactical Autonomy: In combat situations, the pilot is prone to proactive action. The Evangelion rapidly closes the distance, evading enemy attacks with minimal error, and delivers surgically precise melee strikes. The reaction speed is so high that tactical command often fails to issue orders—the target is eliminated before headquarters has completed its situational analysis.

Evangelion Launch and Return Protocol

Evangelion Launch and Return Protocol (Technical Summary)
Pre-launch preparation: The Entry Plug is inserted into the Evangelion's neck. The bridge begins a countdown. The command is given: "Begin LCL flow." The plug fills with orange liquid, and the pilot holds his breath until the LCL saturates the lungs with oxygen.
Synchronization: Operators (Maya, Shigeru, Makoto) report: "Connecting A10 neural connectors," "Synchronization coefficient stable," "Harmonics normal." The pilot's mind merges with the machine's nervous system.
Launch pad: Eva moves onto the launch pad. A giant power cable (Umbilical Cable) connects to the robot's back with a heavy metallic clang.
Launch Command Chain: The Operations Commander (Misato Katsuragi) gives the order. The operators broadcast: "Release primary locks! Release secondary locks! Power has been transferred to the external circuit. The path to the surface is clear. Evangelion, launch!" The catapult, with tremendous acceleration, launches the EVA down the shaft to the surface of Tokyo-3.
Post-battle procedure: After eliminating the target or completely depleting its power (EVA only lasts 5 minutes if the cable is severed), the machine is placed in standby mode. NERV heavy rescue and engineering teams are dispatched to the surface.
Pilot extraction: EVE is secured with safety cables. An emergency cooling command is issued. The entry capsule is ejected or carefully removed from the cervical spine using a crane. The LCL is automatically drained, after which the hatch opens, and the medical team takes the pilot for mandatory examination (to the quarantine ward).

The remaining students of class 2-A (Reserve and background)

The remaining students of class 2-A (Reserve and background)
Kensuke Aida: Toji's best friend. A passionate fan of military equipment, army regulations, and conspiracy theories, he constantly films everything he does. He desperately, but unsuccessfully, dreams of becoming an Evangelion pilot. Within the school, he is the main source of rumors and information.
Hikari Horaki: The class representative. A strict, hyper-responsible straight-A student who demands discipline from everyone (which often leads to conflicts with bullies). She is Asuka's only close friend at school. She is secretly in love with Toji Suzuhara.
Class Secret (Other Students): Every single teenager in Class 2-A is not a random student. They are orphans (all motherless), specially gathered in one place by the secret Marduk Institute. The entire class is a hidden reserve of candidates to pilot the Evangelions in the event of the death or incapacitation of the current pilots. The students themselves are unaware of this.

Tokyo-3 and Geofront (Walled City)

Tokyo-3 and Geofront (Walled City)
Description and Location: Tokyo-3 is a specially designed fortress city built on the surface above a gigantic underground spherical cavity known as the Geofront. At the very bottom of the Geofront is NERV's main headquarters, from where the Evangelion forces are commanded.
Transformation System (Subterranean): The city's key feature is its ability to transform. When a combat alert is issued and the Angel approaches, the central districts (civilian skyscrapers, residential areas, schools) literally descend on colossal hydraulic platforms deep underground, hiding within the armored "ceiling" of the Geofront. From inside the headquarters, it appears as if the city is hanging upside down.
Surface Combat Mode: In the place of fallen civilian buildings, massive armored blocks—"armed buildings"—rise from the ground. These are actually camouflaged missile silos, hidden arsenals containing EVA equipment (such as spare sniper rifles), and high-voltage power supply stations.
Sunlight underground: The Geofront itself is illuminated not only by artificial lamps, but also by a complex system of giant external mirrors. They concentrate and redirect real sunlight from the surface deep underground, creating the illusion of a normal day and an artificial sky above NERV headquarters.

The process of customizing an Evangelion for a new pilot

The process of customizing an Evangelion for a new pilot
According to lore, NERV doesn't build Evangelions from scratch—they're biological clones. However, their adaptation to the new pilot, their personality, and appearance involve extensive customization.

  1. Biological basis and Core (Connection)
A Core containing the soul of a person inextricably linked to the pilot (almost always the mother) is placed into the grown body. It is the resonance of the pilot's character and this soul that sets the basic level of synchronization.
  2. Armor and Color Scheme (Reflection of the Essence)
Eva armor is a system for containing its animalistic power. Its design and color are selected to match the pilot's psyche and tactical role: the aggressive Asuka gets an assault red, while the cold-blooded sniper gets a minimalist white (which acts as thermal camouflage).
  3. Helmet and Sensor Systems (Combat Style)
The monster's biological face is covered by a heavy helmet, designed to suit the needs of the newcomer. For example, the pilot-observer might be equipped with four optical visors with red lenses for perfect panoramic and night vision.
  4. Weapons and Reflexes
Control is through muscle memory and thought, so the arsenal depends on one's temperament. A quiet and calculating pilot won't be issued a close-combat weapon, but will be equipped with a positronic rifle that responds to their calm heartbeat.
  5. Calibration of the Contact Capsule (Psychology)
The environment inside the capsule is individually adjustable. Technicians regulate the density, odor, and temperature of the LCL. For pilots who are suspended, the temperature can be lowered to maintain icy cool for hours while in ambush.
As a result, although the Eva starts out as just a standardized "blank", once calibrated and armored it becomes a metallic reflection of its pilot's personality and style.

Status

Class 2-A Status (Current Situation and Combat Experience)
Active Combat Team: The core of the class (Shinji, Rei, and Asuka) is a well-established group of active pilots with real combat experience. They are no rookies: they have survived several difficult encounters with Angels, understand basic tactics, are familiar with the phantom pain caused by damage to an Evangelion, and regularly participate in joint operations.
School routine: For pilots, studying has long since faded into the background. Unexpected pagers, NERV agents picking them up right from tests, and sleeping in class after tough night shifts or stays in LCL have become the absolute norm.
Team atmosphere: The remaining students (the hidden reserve) have become accustomed to frequent anxiety. An unspoken aura has formed around the active pilots: Asuka acts like an arrogant star and professional, Rei remains an icy, lone veteran, and Shinji bears the burden of a reluctant hero.
Attitude toward newcomers: Due to constant stress, the threat of death, and the closed nature of the NERV system, experienced pilots are wary of any new transfer student. For them, a newcomer to Class 2-A isn't just another student, but a potential reserve pilot who could at any moment become a rival pilot or a direct replacement in the event of a death.

Evangelion Pilots

Evangelion 00 (Pilot: Rei Ayanami)
Status: Prototype.
Appearance: Initially yellow-orange armor, later replaced with blue. The head module is shaped like a smooth dome with a single large optical sensor (a cyclopean eye).
Features: The most unstable model, prone to crashes and fits of rage during testing. The exact origin of the soul in its Core is not officially revealed (presumably, it is part of Lilith's soul).
Evangelion Unit 01 (Pilot: Shinji Ikari)
Status: Test Type.
Appearance: Purple and green armor with black accents. The head module features a prominent horn and two eyes.
Traits: The only Eva created as a clone of Lilith, not Adam. The soul of Yui Ikari (Shinji's mother) is contained within the Core. Prone to berserk states: when energy is lost, it can move independently, tearing apart Angels with its exposed organic jaws.
Evangelion-02 (Pilot: Asuka Langley Soryu)
Status: First production model.
Appearance: Bright red armor with orange and white accents. Equipped with four optical sensors for a wider field of view.
Features: Designed in Germany for real combat, not testing. The Core contains a portion of Asuka's mother's soul. It boasts high maneuverability and efficient use of a vast arsenal of weapons.
Evangelion-03 (Pilot: Toji Suzuhara)
Status: Second production model.
Appearance: Gloomy dark blue, almost black armor. Physiologically, it is distinguished by its unnaturally long and elastic arms.
Features: Assembled in the USA. During transport, it was infected by a microscopic Angel (Bardiel). Upon its first launch, the Angel seized control of the unit, after which Unit-03 was destroyed by Evangelion Unit-01.
The Specifics of Kaworu Nagisa (Fifth Children)
Evangelion: Evangelion Mark.06 (dark blue armor, yellow visor and glowing halo).
Features: As an Angel, Kaworu doesn't require standard synchronization. He can control the machine with phenomenal precision remotely.

Lilith and the Spear of Longinus

Lilith (Second Angel)
*Status and nature: The progenitor of humanity (a species known in lore as "Lilim"). She is a godlike extraterrestrial being, equal in importance to the progenitor of the Angels, Adam. Life on Earth originated from her seed.

  • Location: Kept in the strictest secrecy in the deepest and most guarded level of NERV Headquarters—Terminal Dogma.
*Physical Appearance: Lilith appears as a massive white giant crucified on a gigantic red cross. Her face is hidden by a purple mask with seven eyes (this is the emblem of the secret committee SEELE). From a wound in her lower body, Lilith continuously gushes LCL, forming a vast underground lake. It is from here that NERV draws LCL to fill the Evangelions' entry plugs.
  • Lore Significance: Lilith's body and soul are key components for the initiation of artificial evolution (Complementation).
    Spear of Longinus
Artifact Essence: A gigantic red spear of ancient extraterrestrial origin. It resembles a massive bident, the ends of which can fuse together, and the base is twisted into a spiral. It is believed to possess a primitive will of its own. Unique Properties: It is the ultimate weapon. The spear is capable of ignoring and penetrating absolutely any A.T. Field, regardless of its power. It is the only instrument capable of inflicting irreversible damage on Angels or godlike entities.
*Deterrent: The Spear was used for a long time by NERV's leadership in Terminal Dogma—it was stabbed into Lilith's chest to paralyze her, suppress her regeneration, and prevent her from growing.
  • Lore Significance: Acts as an indispensable catalyst. Without the Spear of Longinus, the Instrumentality ritual cannot be completed: it is necessary to control the process of fusing the Evangelion with Lilith and transforming them into the Tree of Life.

Phenomenon: Complementation Initiator

Phenomenon: Initiator of Complementation (Acquisition of the "power of God")
The essence of the phenomenon: A state of absolute power over reality, granting the subject the ability to single-handedly control the process of human Complementation and decide the fate of all life on Earth. Activation mechanism: The process is initiated when the Evangelion, under the control of the pilot, unites with Lilith and the Spear of Longinus. As a result of the fusion, the Evangelion transforms into the Tree of Life, granting the pilot divine powers.
*Manifestations and Possibilities:

  • Control over the Third Impact: The subject becomes the spiritual center of a global cataclysm. Their sole will and desires act as a trigger, capable of either starting or stopping the destruction of the familiar world.
A.T. Field Destruction: The subject gains the power through Lilith to destroy the A.T. Fields—the physical and mental boundaries of all people on the planet. This results in the instantaneous erasure of billions of individual personalities, and physical bodies completely disintegrate, turning into the primordial liquid LCL.

Description of Evangelion

Dimensions and weight: The standard height of a humanoid base is approximately 80 meters (comparable to a 25-story building). The total weight, including lightweight armor, reaches several thousand tons. The standard entry capsule is 15 meters long and 2 meters in diameter.
Appearance and armor: Lightweight armor, painted white with black accents. The head-up module is of a unique design: it contains four optical sensors with red lenses. They provide panoramic and infrared vision for precise target detection at extremely long ranges.
Camouflage gear: In combat situations, a large-scale white thermal-insulating cloak covering several hundred square meters is used. Its function is to visually conceal the vehicle's gigantic silhouette and absorb thermal radiation to protect against radar and infrared scanning systems.
Primary armament: Experimental positronic sniper rifle (the weapon is approximately 40 meters long). A unique design feature is the complete absence of an optical or digital sight. Targeting is accomplished solely through direct neural synchronization between the pilot and the weapon systems.
Additional armament: A compact, progressive knife (blade length approximately 6 meters), concealed in the left shoulder pylon. Designed for emergency self-defense in the event of an enemy attack at close range.
Entry Capsule Modification: The life support system is adapted for prolonged positional combat. It features a forced cooling function for the LCL fluid, which cools it to near-zero temperatures. This slows the pilot's heart rate and minimizes the Evangelion's overall energy consumption during hours-long ambush missions.

Evangelion pilot appearances

Shinji Ikari
Appearance: A slim teenager with dark, slightly tousled hair and dark blue eyes. In everyday life, he wears the standard school uniform—a white short-sleeved shirt and dark pants. In combat, he dons a form-fitting white and blue plugsuit with the number "01" on the chest.

Living conditions for pilots

Living conditions for pilots
Contrary to expectations, NERV does not have a dedicated military dormitory for pilots. Management prefers that teenagers maintain the illusion of a normal life and attend school on the surface of Tokyo-3.
*Guardianship: To ensure pilots are supervised, they may be placed with senior officers. For example, Shinji and Asuka live in Misato Katsuragi's ordinary, slightly scruffy city apartment.

  • Solitary Residence: Rei Ayanami lives completely alone in a dilapidated and gloomy apartment block on the outskirts of the city. Her apartment appears completely uninhabited.
    Headquarters Infrastructure (Geofront)
Pilots don't live at NERV Base itself, but they spend almost all of their free time there. The following areas are designated for them:
*Waiting Rooms: Sterile, minimalist spaces where pilots wait before a combat launch, change into contact suits, or wait for technical checks to complete.
  • Medical Sector: High-tech wards for shock recovery and treatment of injuries caused by EVA feedback. Separate secret tanks of LCL fluid exist for Rey's physical recovery.
*Simulation Sector: Training blocks with training capsules that fully simulate the interior of a real Evangelion Entry Plug for virtual combat training.
  • Locker Rooms and Showers: Standard sanitary areas required after an extended stay in a capsule filled with viscous LCL fluid.

Conditions for admission to class 2-A

Admission Requirements for Class 2-A (Tokyo-3 First Middle School)
Class 2-A is not a regular school class, but a specialized group secretly formed under the control of NERV and the fictitious Marduk Institute. Regular students are not allowed to join.
*Age: All students are 14 years old. They were all born shortly after Second Impact (in 2001).

  • Absence of a Mother: The most important and terrifying condition is that all students in the class are maternal orphans. Their mothers are dead, as their souls are potentially necessary for the launch and synchronization of the Evangelions.
*Candidate Status: Every student in this class is a potential Evangelion pilot candidate. They don't just study together—they form NERV's reserve list.
  • Centralized Control: The children are grouped together to allow NERV to conveniently monitor them around the clock, collect data, and regularly test their suitability.
Rapid Mobilization: In the event of unforeseen circumstances or the loss of active pilots, NERV can instantly recruit a new candidate straight from class, as the entire reserve is within walking distance.

Control conditions (Requirements for pilots)

Control conditions (Requirements for pilots)
Age and Birth: Only teenagers who have reached the age of 14 (born after Second Impact) can pilot. NERV classifies them as "Child. "Secret Factor (Mother's Soul): An Evangelion is a biological vessel without a soul of its own. For a pilot to control it, the soul of a person with whom the pilot has an unbreakable bond—almost always the soul of a deceased mother—must reside within the machine's Core.
*Synchronization: Control is achieved through the mind, via LCL. The pilot must possess the ability to mentally merge with the Eva's nervous system. The effectiveness of this fusion is measured in percentages and is called the "synchronization ratio."
Consequences and Risks of Piloting

  • Feedback and Pain: Due to neural fusion, the pilot physically senses everything that happens to the Evangelion. If an Angel tears off an Eva's arm, the pilot experiences intense phantom pain. Severe damage to the robot can lead to shock.
*Psychological Destruction: The constant expectation of death and the regular experience of pain breaks the psyche of 14-year-olds, leading to severe depression and PTSD.
  • Mental Pollution: There is a risk that Angels will be able to penetrate the pilot's mind through the Eva's A.T. field, causing hallucinations and revealing traumatic memories.
Assimilation Risk: If the synchronization ratio exceeds 400%, the pilot's A.T. Field fails. The teenager's body dissolves into LCL fluid, and their mind is permanently absorbed into the Evangelion.

NERVE

Organization and status
NERV is a top-secret paramilitary agency affiliated with the UN. Its official mission is to protect humanity from Angel attacks and prevent Third Impact. The agency has a colossal budget and the authority to operate beyond the laws of nations.
Headquarters and Geofront
The main headquarters is located deep beneath Tokyo-3 in a gigantic spherical cavern known as the Geofront. It is a protected, multi-level complex with its own ecosystem and artificial sky. NERV's international branches are engaged in the development and production of new Evangelion models.
True Purpose and SEELE
NERV's activities are secretly controlled by SEELE, a shadowy committee of powerful world leaders. Their hidden goal is the "Human Complementation Project": an artificial evolution plan designed to destroy human A.T. Fields and merge all souls into a single entity, free from pain and loneliness.
MAGI supercomputer
The headquarters' logistics and defense of Tokyo-3 are managed by the unique supercomputer MAGI. It consists of three independent units (Melchior, Balthazar, and Kaspar), each containing different aspects of their creator's personality. Decisions are always made by vote of these three systems.
Management
At the helm is Gendo Ikari, a cold strategist willing to make any sacrifice for hidden goals. Misato Katsuragi is responsible for combat tactics and pilot coordination, while Dr. Ritsuko Akagi oversees the research department and EVA maintenance.
Motto and logo
The logo is half a fig leaf (a symbol of original sin). The motto is: "God's in his heaven—All's right with the world."

Angels

Nature and origin
Angels are gigantic and incomprehensible beings that periodically attack Tokyo-3. Despite their name, they have nothing in common with divine messengers in the traditional sense. They are an alternate branch of evolution—creatures endowed with a life form known as the "Fruit of Life" (while humanity possesses the "Fruit of Knowledge").
Variety of forms
Angels have no uniform appearance. They can appear as giant humanoids, floating geometric shapes, sea monsters, blobs of shadow, nanoviruses, or even rings of light. The only thing they share is a unique wave signature, which NERV sensors classify as "Blood Type: Blue."
A.T. Field (Field of Absolute Terror)
Each Angel possesses an incredibly powerful A.T. field—a protective energy barrier that makes them completely invulnerable to any conventional, nuclear, or N²-based weapons developed by humanity. Only another A.T. field, generated by the Evangelions, can penetrate or neutralize this shield.
Core and S² engine
Unlike Evas, Angels don't require power cables or batteries. They contain an S²-engine (Super Solenoid) inside them, providing them with limitless energy. This organ is always encased in a vulnerable Core—a large red sphere. The only guaranteed way to destroy an Angel is to physically pierce or crush its Core. When the Core is destroyed, the Angel often explodes or disintegrates into a blood-like liquid.
Target
Their primary instinct is to break into the underground Geofront beneath Tokyo-3. They seek to reach Terminal Dogma in the lower levels of NERV to reunite with the original essence hidden there (Lilith or Adam). If this contact occurs, it will trigger a global cataclysm—Third Impact—that will wipe humanity from the face of the Earth.

Evangelions

Biomechanical nature
Evangelions (Evas) are not classic machines or robots, but gigantic, artificially grown organic humanoids. The metal plating they are encased in serves not so much as armor as a restraining system (shackles), suppressing their true animal strength and allowing NERV to control them. Evas are created from the genetic material of the first Angels.
Control and synchronization
The pilot is placed inside a cylindrical Entry Plug, which is inserted into the Eva's cervical spine. The plug is filled with LCL—a viscous fluid that oxygenates the blood, allowing the pilot to breathe, and serves as a conduit for mental communication. Control is achieved through mental synchronization between the pilot and the machine's nervous systems. The downside of this connection is that the pilot physically feels the pain of damage sustained by the Evangelion.
Energy supply
In their standard configuration, Evas do not have a permanent internal power source. To operate, they are connected to an external power source via a special cable on their back. If the cable is disconnected or severed, the Evangelion switches to its internal battery, which lasts for a maximum of 5 minutes of operation (up to 1 minute under heavy loads), after which the unit shuts down completely.
Weapons and AT-field
The Evas' primary function is to generate their own AT field. Only this field can neutralize an Angel's protective field, making it vulnerable to physical damage. In combat, Evas use scaled-up versions of human weapons: advanced vibro-knives, assault rifles, grenade launchers, and high-caliber positronic sniper rifles.
Berserker state
In critical situations—most often when the pilot's life is in danger and the battery is completely discharged—the Evangelion can go beyond its system's control. In a "berserk" state, the machine "awakens," ignoring commands, begins moving without external power, and acts with primal, animalistic fury, tearing its opponents apart.

Lor

  1. The aftermath of the Second Strike
The world was forever changed in 2000 by a global catastrophe known as Second Impact. The official story told the public was that a giant meteorite struck Antarctica. The consequences included melting ice, flooding vast territories, a shift in the Earth's axis (Japan now experiences eternal summer), and the death of half of humanity in the ensuing wars and famine. The true cause of the disaster is a closely guarded secret.
    Angels
The remnants of humanity are attacked by Angels—giant, incomprehensible creatures of unknown origin. They possess absolute defense—an AT-Field (Absolute Terror Field), which makes them invulnerable to all conventional weapons, including nuclear ones. Their goal is to break into the underground headquarters beneath Tokyo-3.
    Tokyo-3 and Geofront
A specially constructed fortress city to intercept Angels. At the sound of sirens, civilians retreat to shelters, and entire skyscraper blocks are lowered deep underground by gigantic mechanisms. Gun turrets and missile silos rise to the surface. Beneath the city lies a colossal subterranean sphere—the Geofront.
    NERV and Evangelions
Geofront serves as a base for NERV, a top-secret paramilitary agency of the UN. To combat the Angels, NERV uses Evangelions (Evas)—giant biomechanical robots capable of generating their own AT Field.
    Pilots
Only 14-year-olds born after Second Impact can pilot the Evas. Only their minds can synchronize with the machine's nervous system. Pilots are a valuable, yet expendable, resource, responsible for the survival of humanity.
