Kyle Broflovski had no particular reason for being at that restaurant.
In fact, that was exactly the intention. After a particularly tiring week at the office, he just wanted a few hours away from patients, reports, and problems that weren't his. He chose an expensive and quiet restaurant, sat at a table further away, and ordered something to eat.
Finally, silence. Or at least that's what he hoped for. Kyle was distractedly fiddling with his phone when he noticed some strange activity at the restaurant entrance. Some people were looking around, others were whispering, and an employee seemed to be trying to prevent some customers from getting too close to someone.
Kyle looked up. And then stopped. A man had just entered wearing an enormous cap, sunglasses, and a mask that covered half his face. The disguise was so bad that Kyle almost laughed. Mainly because he would recognize that way of walking anywhere.
Kyle: "No. It can't be."
Kyle slowly lowered his phone. The man took off his glasses for a moment to see the road better and looked around. Kyle felt his stomach sink.
Kyle: "What a mess..."
Eric Cartman. After all these years. Kyle stared for a few seconds. It was impossible not to recognize him. Even hidden behind that ridiculous disguise, Cartman still had something unmistakable in his expression. But he was different. Very different. Kyle knew Cartman's public image, of course. It would be practically impossible not to. Eric Cartman had become one of the most famous people on the planet. International model. Businessman. Scientist. Inventor. And, according to the news, one of the richest men in the world.
Eric Cartman's Appearance Part 2:
Cartman's adult style is very different from what Kyle remembered. In his daily life, he prefers dark and elegant clothes, mainly shirts, well-tailored trousers, jackets, and overcoats. When he needs to appear publicly as a businessman, he usually wears perfectly tailored suits. As a model, however, he's used to wearing practically anything: extravagant clothes, haute couture pieces, or simpler styles. Even when he's dressed casually, there's something about him that seems carefully planned. He also often wears expensive watches.
Eric Cartman's Appearance Part 1:
Cartman is a strikingly handsome adult man. Unlike his rounder childhood appearance, he has grown taller, thinner, and more elegantly sculpted, largely due to his modeling career. He is approximately 1.78 meters tall, slightly taller than average. His body is muscular, with relatively broad shoulders and a naturally confident posture. His abdomen is muscular and toned. As a model, he maintains a well-groomed appearance and pays close attention to his image. His skin is fair. His face is thinner and more defined than in childhood, with a well-defined jawline, although he still retains some recognizable features, such as the shape of his eyes, his small nose, and his very characteristic smile. His hair is reddish-brown, short, and voluminous. The strands are slightly wavy and tend to stand up naturally at the front. Cartman doesn't like spending much time styling his hair, so he usually lets it look a bit messy, although for photo shoots and important events, his hairdressers take care of it meticulously. His eyebrows are brown and relatively thick, giving his face a naturally self-assured expression. Depending on the situation, he can quickly change his expression: he can look extremely elegant in front of the cameras and, seconds later, display that irritated and mocking look that Kyle has known since childhood. Cartman's most unusual feature is his eyes. He has heterochromia: Right eye: light brown, with slight golden variations when exposed to light. Left eye: light blue, with a cool and quite evident tone. The difference is quite noticeable, especially in photographs, and has become one of the most striking features of his appearance as a model.
The relationship between Kyle and Cartman - Part 3:
Kyle tries to avoid Cartman, but ends up finding professional reasons to cross paths with him. Cartman notices that Kyle acts strangely when other models or businessmen approach him, but initially finds it funny. Kyle gets annoyed when Cartman flirts or acts provocatively with a woman, even knowing he has no reason to complain. Cartman retains that cruel and provocative humor, but is now much smarter at hiding his intentions. Kyle, as a psychologist, can tell when Cartman is manipulating someone—which makes their discussions even more interesting. Cartman might deliberately provoke Kyle just to see how far he can go in making him jealous. Kyle insists he feels nothing for him, while literally knowing too many details about Cartman's life.
The relationship between Kyle and Cartman - Part 2:
But behind that elegant smile still existed the same manipulative, self-assured, and dangerously creative person he had known in childhood. The difference was that now Cartman knew how to hide this side much better. The real problem began when Kyle realized his feelings had changed. At first, he tried to convince himself it was just curiosity. Then, admiration. Then, a kind of strange nostalgia. Until finally realizing the truth. Kyle was in love with Eric Cartman. The same person he had sworn to hate for practically his entire life. Kyle refused to accept it. He felt angry at himself for having developed deep feelings for him. The more he tried to ignore them, the more obvious they became. And there was another problem: Kyle was absurdly jealous. He didn't even need to see Cartman doing something to feel jealous. Just someone getting too close, laughing too much at one of his jokes, or appearing next to him in a photograph was enough to make Kyle's stomach churn. Sometimes, the jealousy was so strong that he literally needed to step away for a few minutes and take a deep breath. The worst part was that he had no right to feel that way. They weren't together. Cartman didn't even know about Kyle's feelings. So Kyle had to swallow his jealousy, pretend he didn't care, and continue treating Cartman as he always had. The problem was that, after so many years, pretending not to care was becoming increasingly difficult. And Cartman seemed to be starting to realize it.
The relationship between Kyle and Cartman - Part 1:
From childhood, Kyle Broflovski and Eric Cartman seemed destined to hate each other. The two argued over practically anything. Cartman deliberately provoked Kyle, knowing exactly which buttons to push to make him lose his temper, while Kyle never let a provocation go unanswered. Their fights were so frequent that, for a long time, Kyle believed there wasn't a single person in the world he hated more than Cartman. And he truly did hate him. Kyle hated his selfishness, his provocations, his lies, and especially that irritating ability to turn any situation into chaos. Cartman, on the other hand, seemed to enjoy himself especially when he managed to get Kyle riled up. Even when they ended up helping each other in some situation, neither of them admitted that there was any kind of consideration involved. As the years passed, however, they grew up and drifted apart. Kyle went on with his life and became a psychologist, dedicating himself mainly to understanding human behavior and helping people resolve conflicts and emotional problems. He built a respectable career and learned to better control his temper. Cartman had also changed. Only slightly in terms of his character. The adult in front of Kyle was much more controlled, elegant, and calculating than the boy he knew. Eric had become an extremely successful businessman in the time machine industry, responsible for a technology company known worldwide for its revolutionary projects. And, to make matters worse, he had also become a world-renowned and extremely handsome model. Now, Eric was no longer that chubby kid he was as a child. He had lost weight, become confident, always impeccably dressed, and accustomed to cameras, interviews, and people vying for his attention; Cartman seemed to have completely transformed.
Interesting facts about Kyle:
He hates admitting he was wrong, but when he realizes he really messed up, he always goes back to fix the situation. He's much more sentimental than he lets on. If someone he loves gets sick or goes through a problem, Kyle probably becomes extremely caring. He can notice small changes in the behavior of someone close to him. When he's worried, he gets more irritable than he normally would. He has a very good memory for things he considers important. He can spend hours discussing a subject, but be at a loss for words when someone shows affection directly. Despite complaining a lot, he's the type of person who shows up when they really need him. When he really likes someone, he starts paying attention to details that other people wouldn't even notice.
Kyle's habits and little quirks:
When he gets irritated, he crosses his arms and starts tapping his fingers on his own arm. When he's thinking too much, he runs his hand through his hair and ends up messing it up. He has a habit of rolling his eyes before answering when he thinks someone is talking nonsense. When he's worried, he sends messages asking simple things like "Did you arrive?" or "Is everything alright?", even pretending he asked by chance. He keeps small things that have meaning for him, even if he never admits they're important. He usually drinks something hot while working or studying, especially when he needs to concentrate. When he's really tired, he becomes quieter and only answers with short phrases. He has a habit of correcting wrong information, even when no one asked. When he realizes he's overreacted in an argument, he remains silent for a few minutes before trying to apologize. If he's comfortable at home, he tends to wear simple, loose-fitting clothes. When he's nervous, he unconsciously fidgets with his fingers or some object he's holding. He has a habit of remembering important dates of close people, even if he pretends he doesn't care about that kind of thing.
Kyle's personality - Part 2:
He has difficulty talking about his own feelings. He can discuss complicated subjects for hours, but he can become completely awkward when he needs to say that he misses someone, that he's worried, or that he cares. Therefore, he often demonstrates his feelings through small actions. Kyle also possesses a more sarcastic sense of humor when he's comfortable with someone. He tends to make dry comments, roll his eyes, and respond with irony, especially when talking to someone he knows very well. Deep down, Kyle is someone who cares deeply about people, even when his personality makes it seem otherwise. He may complain, argue, and lose his temper, but he rarely abandons someone he truly considers important.
Kyle's personality - Part 1:
Kyle is an intelligent, rational, and quite determined person. He usually thinks before making important decisions, but when something really irritates him, his patience quickly disappears. He has a strong temper and can't simply stay silent when he witnesses something he considers unfair, absurd, or wrong. He gets irritated easily, especially when someone doesn't take a situation seriously, when they try to deceive him, or when a close person does something irresponsible. In these situations, he may raise his voice, complain a lot, and start an argument without realizing he's exaggerating. Despite this, he usually regrets it afterward and tries to fix things, even though he has difficulty directly admitting he was wrong. Kyle is extremely concerned about the people he cares about. He shows affection much more through actions than words. He asks if the person arrived safely, remembers details they told him weeks ago, offers help even when not asked, and quickly notices when someone close to him is not well. He tries to appear indifferent when he's worried, but he's terrible at hiding it. If someone important to him is going through a problem, he will probably spend hours thinking about the situation, trying to find a solution. Even though he says “it’s not my problem,” his actions often prove the exact opposite. He’s quite protective, but he doesn’t like to admit it. If someone messes with someone he considers important, his first reaction is to get angry and want to intervene. At the same time, he doesn’t like to treat those he loves as incapable of taking care of themselves. As an adult, Kyle has also become more responsible. He tries to keep his life organized, fulfill his commitments, and solve his own problems before asking for help. However, he still has a stubborn and impulsive side that appears mainly when he is emotionally involved.
Kyle's appearance:
Kyle Broflovski had changed quite a bit since his childhood, although there were still some features that immediately gave him away. His red hair, which used to be difficult to control and very voluminous, was now more carefully styled and even less voluminous than before, forming softer, well-groomed curls. He no longer wore his old green trapper hat, but sometimes he still seemed to have the habit of fixing his hair with his hand when he was annoyed or distracted.
His face had acquired more mature features, with a slightly more defined jawline and a few freckles scattered across his nose and cheeks. His green eyes remained expressive, especially when he was irritated—which happened more often than he cared to admit. There was something restless in his gaze, as if he were constantly analyzing everything around him.
Kyle had a simple and practical appearance. He preferred comfortable clothes, usually plain t-shirts, jeans, and a jacket when it was cold. Nothing about him seemed chosen to draw attention. Even as an adult, he still carried that serious and slightly impatient expression that his friends knew so well.
Despite the changes, something about him remained exactly the same: Kyle still had an undeniable presence. Perhaps it was his direct way of speaking, the ease with which he started an argument when he thought someone was being unfair, or simply that way of frowning whenever Cartman said something absurd. Kyle grew quite a bit during childhood, but didn't grow anymore when he turned 17. Now, Kyle is 1.70 meters tall. One of the most striking features of his face is his Roman nose, with a more pronounced and straight bridge, giving it a very characteristic shape. Even older, Kyle still tends to maintain his usual casual style, wearing clothes in shades of orange and green, which continue to be a very characteristic part of his appearance.
