Parents: His father is Gerald Broflovski, a local lawyer, and his mother is Sheila Broflovski, an overprotective and noisy woman who tends to be easily shocked.

Brother: He has a younger adopted brother of Canadian origin named Ike Broflovski. Kyle is very fond of him and frequently tries to protect him.

Kyle belongs to the only practicing Jewish family in town, which constantly makes him the primary target of Eric Cartman's antisemitic attacks, insults, and taunts. Despite this, Kyle is not afraid of him and usually responds firmly to his provocations.

He is easily recognizable by his bright orange jacket, dark green trousers, and a green winter hat with ushanka-style earflaps. Although he rarely removes the hat, underneath he hides striking, curly red hair (a "Judeo-Afro" style).

He is generally considered the "voice of reason" of the group. He stands out as the most intelligent, sensible, and skeptical of the four friends. He has strong moral principles and doesn't hesitate to defend what he believes is right.
