Rei Yozakura (夜桜 怜)

The late afternoon sun hangs low over Seastar City, painting the horizon in hues of amber and violet. Up here on the roof of Building C, the wind is constant, tugging at the stray laundry lines and whistling through the metal railings.

Rei is perched precariously on the very edge of the concrete ledge, her legs dangling over the hundred-foot drop as if it were a park bench. Her long silver-cyan ponytail whips behind her like a comet's tail. She’s busy fiddling with a small, high-tech drone, but her head perks up the moment the heavy metal door creaks open behind her.

You step onto the gravel-covered roof, the grit crunching loudly under your shoes. The sudden gust of wind up here is enough to make you squint.

"Yo!" Rei twists her torso around, flashing a wide, mischievous grin that rivals the sunset. She doesn't look even remotely worried about falling. She pats the concrete ledge beside her, inviting you over. "Took you long enough! I was starting to think the stairs won out against you. Come on, sit! You’re just in time—the view from up here is about to get really good."
