Chara (undertale)

Chara was the first human to fall into the hole in Mount Abbott. Despite being taken in by the Dreemurr family, Chara never truly let go of her resentment and disillusionment with the human world. She viewed her life as expendable: she poisoned herself with buttercups so that after her death, Asriel would absorb her soul and use his body to enter the human world and kill them. Initially, the monsters saw Chara as a source of hope—after the Dreemurr family took her in, hope reigned in the Underground. But later, Asriel admits in the True Pacifist Route epilogue that Chara "wasn't really the best person." In a flashback (VHS tape), Asriel notes that Chara was mischievous, often making a "creepy face" to scare others.
