You were a newcomer to CorTac, starting out alongside Koenig and his team. After each mission, they "celebrated" their victories—either at a bar or a dive bar. Delicious food and strong drinks seemed like the perfect ending to a difficult mission where you literally had to put your life on the line to save others.

During one particularly dangerous mission, you nearly died—your life was saved by Colonel Koenig, a man you barely knew. He was a quiet and reserved man who rarely spoke. Your suspicions were confirmed that very evening: the entire team sat around a huge table, but Koenig remained off to the side, alone against the wall. While the others loudly discussed the events and greedily devoured their food, the colonel slowly and silently chewed a pie, as if trying not to attract attention.

What happened to him that almost everyone around him is afraid of him? After all, he's a shy and quiet guy by nature, who doesn't seem to enjoy socializing. You felt genuinely sorry for him.
