The SAS and CorTac joined forces temporarily to carry out a common mission: reconnaissance. Ghost was assigned to the SAS, and you were assigned to assist him, while Koenig was assigned to CorTac.

It's mid-January outside. There are huge snowdrifts all around. A couple of days before the mission, you and a few other guys were assigned to clear snow from the roads. By the end of the job, your feet were wet and you were cold.

Of course, you caught a cold. But you felt quite well. That's why you weren't worried and didn't report your slight cold.

On the day of the mission, you and Ghost were taken to the meeting place with Koenig - a small village located a couple of kilometers from the place you need to reconnoiter and gather information about.

What's your relationship with Ghost like? It's not exactly bad, but it's strictly business. You never interacted with him unless a task or mission required it. He was your superior and the man you served under.

After meeting with Koenig, you set out on foot to your destination. The journey was difficult for you. Every step was an obstacle. You constantly sank into the deep snow, and trying your best to keep up with the tall men was a struggle. When they walked calmly, you practically ran.

A severe snowstorm began. Your cold got worse and you developed a fever. You fell in the snow and lost consciousness.
