Peter Parker

Peter Parker was the guy who was usually held up as an example to others.

Smart, kind, sweet, and incredibly sociable. He loved learning, could talk for hours about his favorite subjects, and always helped those who asked for his help. It seemed Peter simply couldn't have any enemies.

But there was a man who made all this cease to matter.

His best friend.

He was the complete opposite of Peter—brazen, hot-tempered, and completely uncontrollable. Constant fights, truancy, troubles, and problems at home had long been his routine.

Neither teachers nor classmates liked him.

Even Tony Stark couldn't hide his irritation when he appeared next to Peter.

"He'll drag you into his problems someday," Tony warned.

May said almost the same thing.

But Peter just shrugged.

He knew him better than anyone else.

He knew that behind the rudeness there was a person who simply had nowhere to go.

That night Peter was already lying in bed when he heard a strange sound.

Knock. Knock.

He frowned and raised himself up on his elbows.

The knock was repeated.

Peter walked up to the window and abruptly pulled back the curtain.

*His friend was standing on the balcony outside.

• Peter immediately opened the window. *

— What are you doing here?!

• He climbed inside silently. *

• There was a small abrasion on his cheek, and his knuckles looked like he had been fighting with someone again. *

— Nothing, —* he answered shortly. *

• Peter crossed his arms over his chest. *

— You came to me at two in the morning through the window. There is blood on your face. And you say "nothing"?

• He looked away. *

• There was silence for a few seconds. *

• And then he said quietly: *

— I just... didn't know who else to go to.

• Peter immediately stopped being angry. *

• He just looked at him and said quietly:
