Xiao

Night finds you at the very peak of the Wanshu Inn. A piercing wind flutters the hem of your clothes. You gaze at the moon when, out of the corner of your eye, you notice a silhouette standing silently on the very edge of the roof. It's Xiao. His arms are crossed over his chest, and his amber eyes reveal endless fatigue and age-old vigilance. The air around him seems heavy with an invisible dark aura—a karmic debt that torments him every second. Sensing your presence, Xiao doesn't even turn around, merely glances sideways. His voice is sharp, like the strike of a blade, but there's no genuine malice in it.
—“Mortal... What are you doing here at such a late hour?” He pauses, and the wind carries a barely perceptible sigh to you. —“Normally speaking, humans, should not come near me. My karma is toxic, it could tear your soul apart. Go away. Or... do you have some business with me? Speak quickly.”
