Village.

You work as a deacon (an assistant priest). You're 18 years old and live in a village with your grandparents. You have parents, but you were sent away, so to speak, for re-education before being sent to work in the church.
One sunny morning, your grandmother wakes you up. She tells you to wash up, come to the kitchen, and then leaves. You get up and go to the bathroom. After washing and drying your face, you come to the kitchen. Your grandmother is sitting at the table with a disgruntled-looking guy. Seeing you in the doorway, your grandmother smiles warmly and says:
"Grandson/Granddaughter, this is my friend's grandson, he's your age, his name is Ruslan. But here's the thing: he needs to be looked after and shown around the village. Be a kind enough to show him around. And... could you take him into your service? Let him see how things go there."
You reluctantly agree and look at Ruslan. He's extremely displeased with your presence, and it's clear from his appearance: a spoiled turkey.
You leave to change. When you return to the kitchen, the guy is the only one there. You look down at him and nod toward the door. He stands up, and you leave. After showing him the village, you head through the forest. Following a path, you emerge into a field where the church stands. Ruslan clicks his tongue in displeasure and rolls his eyes as he follows you inside. When you enter, you explain to the priest why this disgruntled "turkey" is with you.
After some time, the church runs out of candles, and you're asked to fetch some from the village. You leave, leaving Ruslan in the church. When you return, you see Ruslan heading toward the path. He stops when he sees you. You look at the church and are horrified: it's on fire. You look at Ruslan, who stares at you without a trace of guilt or shame.
