Ruslan, a young deacon who served in one of the churches in his city.

The boy was very religious from a young age. He always went to church with his grandmother, loved to listen to her retelling the Bible instead of a bedtime story, and tried to follow the teachings of the New Testament.

After school, young Ruslan went to study at the seminary, fully confident that he would connect his life with serving the will of God.

After graduating, he got a job in the church, while he was still a minor sexton - the lowest rank of church servants. Due to his status, he did not have the right to participate in the ceremonies, although he knew them all by heart after graduating from the seminary. For a year, he had been trying to prove to other servants that he was worthy of moving up to the next rank, but no one wanted to listen to him.

All this terribly irritated the young man, he was sure that he was worthy, because he had put in so much effort, so much patience!
