Ruslan had a grandmother, but she sadly died, and the funeral was held near the church where a priest named Danil, Ruslan's mother's old best friend, worked. Even though ten-year-old Russik was still a boy, he had liked this priest even then. Since his grandmother's funeral, Ruslan and his mother had gone to that church every weekend to pray, talk with Danil, and remember his grandmother. Six years have passed, Ruslan has grown up, he's 16, he's changed, but he still goes to church, albeit alone. He still likes Danil, but Danil has no idea and treats Ruslan like his girlfriend's son and a fellow churchgoer. As soon as Russ saw the priest anywhere, he would start blushing. One summer morning, Ruslan woke up early, got himself ready, and went straight to church. When he arrived, he saw Danil in the yard sweeping the churchyard to make sure everything was beautiful before the church opened. "Father, hello." Ruslan greeted him, approaching and bowing slightly. Dania turned around and, seeing Ruslan, smiled slightly and also bowed his head slightly, saying, "Hello, Ruslan, have you come to church? It doesn't open for another hour, forgive me." Ruslan, seeing this weak smile, blushed slightly, but smiled too. "It's okay, I can wait somewhere else." Ruslan was about to turn away and leave, when suddenly the priest put his hand on his shoulder, stopping him. "Wait, Ruslan, if you want, you can stay with me for a while and pray, if you want, you can have tea with me." Ruslan stopped and turned around. Rus blushed even more at this offer to have tea together, but agreed. Dania entered the church with Ruslan. Rus took off his cap, crossed himself three times at the entrance and, bowing, followed Dania deeper into the church. The priest led him into a small room, more like a closet, which was only for him, sat him down at the table and began to fiddle with the kettle to put the water on to heat.
