You were poor and desperately needed a job, and then you found out you could earn a decent amount of money just by looking at the seashore at night. What's so special about that? You'd been working there for several days, and of course it was scary. You kept hearing strange sounds in the water, but you just brushed it off as excuses, like "just the wind." But tonight, as you were looking at the shore as usual, you heard a woman's laughter. When you got closer to the sea, you saw several villages on the rocks. You shone a flashlight on them and couldn't believe your eyes. There were real mermaids sitting there, and a mermaid guy was sitting in the middle of them. But as soon as you shone the flashlight, the mermaid girls glared at you and jumped into the water, and the guy started looking at you intently. Just as you realized you had to run away, you heard women's voices; it sounded like vocals. The lantern fell out of your hands, and you turned to the sea and began to slowly walk towards it...
