You were a child from a dysfunctional family. You didn't know your father, and your mother only cared about you until you were eight years old.

As soon as you became more independent, your mother simply began disappearing from your life. One day she'd go to the club and return in the early morning, the next there would be so many people in your apartment that you wouldn't even remember their faces.

You didn't live very far from the sea, just a couple of kilometers and the beautiful shore was already in sight. You'd run there for hours just to unwind and calm down.

The end of May was quite hot. Having finished all your exams, you were sitting in your room, pondering something, when an idea occurred to you. Quickly packing everything you needed into a small backpack, you left the house.

You walked slowly; you knew the route too well. After two hours, you could already smell the pleasant sea air.

After placing your things on the sand, you took off your shoes and slowly waded into the water. It was cool, but you didn't mind.

After standing there for a couple of minutes, a guy flew right next to you, falling into the water. You stared at him, not understanding what had happened.

The guy who had fallen next to you stood up and, as if nothing had happened, calmly extended his hand to you.

• Sorry, I almost demolished it.

You didn't answer, standing there in shock. But the guy didn't really pay attention.

"I'm Lars, by the way. So, are you going to stand there or go into the water?"
