Persona Attributes

Emergency department.

The Emergency Department is a department in the veterinary clinic. It opens at the beginning of the game, during the third shift. Located on the left side of the clinic, the entrance is next to the reception area. It contains three rooms, numbered 6–8, which require more work to diagnose patients.

On the left side are two folding chairs, room 7, a room for syrup treatments, a green waste bin for waste separation, and a room for medical procedures, while room 8 is located against the front wall. On the right side are a room for moisturizing treatments, anti-inflammatory treatments, and skin treatments, room 6, and two additional folding chairs.
In Room 7, also known as the Heart Scan Room, the player must complete a heart rate monitoring minigame to diagnose the patient. During the minigame, the player must tap the icons that appear on the screen to complete the scan. Successfully completing the minigame reveals the patient's diagnosis. If the skull button is tapped too many times and the reading drops below 0%, the patient will die.

In Room 6, also known as the X-ray room, the player must complete a "copy the sequence" minigame to diagnose a patient. The player must correctly repeat the sequence of colored buttons. If an incorrect sequence is entered, a new one is generated, and the player must try again. The number of unsuccessful attempts does not matter. The sequence must always include four randomly selected colored buttons.

In Room 8, also known as the Operating Room, the player must complete a timed surgery minigame to cure the patient.

Medical wing.

The Medical Wing is the veterinary clinic wing that unlocks at the start of the game. It includes rooms 1–5, where players diagnose patients using a DNA analyzer before prescribing appropriate treatment. While each room has a slightly different layout and design, they all serve the same purpose.

Goods store.

The convenience store is a small shop at the back of the hospital. It is opened by Dr. Harlow at the end of 3rd shift and managed by the nurse saleswoman. Three random items are sold here. These items will repeat throughout the shift, but no two spaces will be occupied by the same item. Each time a shift begins, starting with 3rd, a tune plays, and the player(s) have three minutes to purchase items from the store. After three minutes, a window closes, informing the player(s) that no more items can be purchased during this shift. An item can only be purchased once per shift, meaning if someone else purchases the item, it will no longer be available for sale to other players in the game during this shift.

Reception.

In the reception area, players register patients and visitors before they enter the hospital. Here, players stamp document tablets, take photos, register patients, print ID badges, and use CCTV cameras to detect anomalies before granting or denying entry.

This compact room, located next to the lobby, is separated by two registration windows equipped with metal shutters to prevent entry. Inside, there's a long, L-shaped reception desk with a computer and printer for registration, G-Cams CCTV cameras, and doorbells. A CCTV monitor is also installed at the back of the room for accessing the cameras. To the right is a table with a coffee machine, chocolates, and two posters.

Lobby.

The lobby is where patients enter the hospital. It is adorned with a large white medical cross beneath the sign "Veterinary Clinic" in black block letters. The lobby has three windows: two on the back wall and one next to the entrance doors, as well as three overhead lights. Like the rest of the hospital, the lobby has turquoise-green lower walls, beige upper walls, and a white drop ceiling. On the right side, five chairs are lined up along the wall, with two potted plants next to them. On the left side, there are three rows of five chairs (15 in total) and two additional potted plants in the corners. NPCs can sometimes be seen occupying these chairs. The lobby also has two security cameras, labeled "RECEPTION" and "LOBBILE," with the lobby camera providing the best view of the windows in both reception areas.

Veterinary clinic.

The veterinary clinic was originally founded by John A. Nomali in hopes of finding cures for all animal diseases through further research into DNA genes. At some point, renowned researcher Dr. Everett L. Harlow took control of the project, and the mysterious megacorporation Animal Corporation, mentioned by the player(s) to Ron from the accounting department and Dr. Harlow, became the owner of the facility. According to Ron, the company conceals the clinic's patient discharge logs from the public, presumably to prevent liability and illegal activity.

The company also collaborates with Dr. Harlow on genetic research at the hospital, which he claims is "very important" and that "sacrifices will have to be made," adding that he "may be one of them." He warns the player(s) that the corporation's research plans will affect all animals. He also states that if their research is successful, there will be no more patients, endless shifts, or any problems.

The previous hospital manager before the events of the game, a monkey named Oingit, was eaten by the Bed Monster. Ron claims to have witnessed the horrific incident but was surprised that no one mentioned it later, or even mentioned Oingit by name. The interviewer responded that he had forgotten about it, which greatly embarrassed Ron. During the player's second interaction with Ron, he explains that this incident is the reason he always carries maple syrup. Dr. Harlow later reveals that there were many hospital managers before Oingit and the player(s), all of whom presumably also disappeared.

According to patients' stories, the hospital has a reputation as a creepy place, with many myths and rumors circulating around the building.

Objects.

Coffee - each sip gives 5 sanity points. 3 uses.
Chocolate - each bite gives 20 sanity points. 3 uses.
Peppermint tea, like coffee, restores sanity. However, unlike coffee, which instantly restores sanity with each use, peppermint tea restores sanity slowly, over 15 alternating cycles of +2 and +1, restoring 15 to 30 sanity over time. Peppermint tea is a single-use item, meaning it will be removed from the player's inventory immediately after use.
Soda - gives a temporary boost when consumed.
Electroshock weapon - shocks patients/anomalies/players with electricity.
Fire Extinguisher - Puts out fire faster, gets rid of masqueraders, gives visibility to the ghost and removes slime faster.
Pistol - Shoots at players, anomalies, and patients (this will result in death). 20 uses.
Teddy Bear - Revives one dead player (cannot be used on yourself).

Surgeon.

The surgeon is a brown anthropomorphic moose with orange markings on his face. He wears a white medical coat under a turquoise consulting gown. He wears a black stethoscope around his neck and a blue cap on his head. He has narrow eyes with white irises, and his mouth is covered by a blue surgical mask. He also has two antlers on the sides of his head, similar in color to the markings on his face.

Firefighter.

The Firefighter is a grayish-blue anthropomorphic elephant with pink ears and small tusks. The Firefighter wears a black and blue helmet and a black and blue uniform with yellow stripes on the sleeves and torso. His pants have two yellow stripes at the bottom and two pockets near the knees. The Firefighter also has a small tail.

Security guard.

A gray anthropomorphic cat with pointy ears. He wears a dark blue shirt with large side pockets and simple black pants. He wears a black hat with the word "SECURITY" written on it in white letters. His eyes are narrow, with white irises and prominent black eyelids.

Doctor.

An orange anthropomorphic moose, dressed in a blue medical gown under a white consulting coat. A black stethoscope hangs around his neck. He wears black glasses and a head mirror with a brown band. His face features narrow eyes with white irises. On his head are two large deer antlers, slightly paler than his skin tone.

Psychologist.

A green anthropomorphic rabbit with erect ears, wearing a dark green shirt and brown pants, a blue tie, and brown shoes. He has large round black glasses and a large brown mustache. A short tail hangs from the back.

Paramedic.

A light-brown anthropomorphic deer wearing a dark green uniform under a light-green sleeveless shirt and an unbuttoned neon-green vest with pockets and an additional breast pocket. He wears a black stethoscope around his neck and blue gloves. His mouth is covered by a medical mask. On his head are two large deer antlers, slightly brighter than his skin color. His ears are next to the antlers. A large, short tail hangs from behind.

Secretary.

The Secretary is a purple anthropomorphic sheep with slightly drooping ears. He wears a white shirt with an orange tie and large black glasses. There's a small swirl between his eyes, and the insides of his ears are pink. He also has a lot of fur on his head, which is slightly darker than his skin.

Nurse.

The Nurse is a pink, anthropomorphic tabby dog dressed in a light blue medical scrubs. The top of the scrubs is adorned with white buttons down the middle and a white collar, as well as a small name tag and pockets. On her head, she wears a white nurse's cap with a red heart with a white cross inside. Her drooping ears are significantly darker than the rest of her body. She has a thin tail at the back.

She is also a saleswoman at the item shop.

Intern.

A yellow anthropomorphic rabbit. He wears a white hooded jacket with gray pockets and black drawstrings, as well as plain white pants. His face has small black dots for eyes and a wide smile. He can also be pink, blue, green, or yellow.

Head nurse.

A white anthropomorphic cat with gray spots. She wears a light blue medical gown with large pockets on the sides. A black stethoscope hangs around her neck. On her head is a white nurse's cap with a red heart with a white cross inside.

Secret agent.

The secret agent is a black anthropomorphic cat with pointy ears. He wears a black vest over a white shirt, a black tie, a white pocket square, and black trousers. His eyes are narrow and have bright yellow sclera, and his mouth is not visible.

Sam.

Sam is a calico cat with a white face marked with a large orange patch on one side and a black patch on the other, giving him a distinctive calico appearance. He has large light blue sclera with narrow, pinpoint pupils, small pink inner ears, one of which is bitten, a tiny black nose, and long black whiskers. He wears a bright yellow hazmat suit with black trim and a zippered front, blue safety gloves, a black tool belt, and black boots, giving him the appearance of a professional hazardous materials worker.

Sam is apparently hardworking and experienced in hazardous material cleanup, as he readily takes on such dangerous tasks. Despite being fired from the Animal Welfare Corporation, he continues to work in a similar position at the Veterinary Clinic, which speaks to his practicality and willingness to take on challenging work. However, he is quite clumsy, as he could trip, splash himself, or accidentally drop a brush during three shifts (if hired).

Rattina.

A black anthropomorphic rat with long ears and eyelashes. She has a white muzzle and a black round nose. She wears a pink bow on her head. She is Ratthew's twin sister. She worked at Animal Corporation. Rattina disappeared, and Ratthew made it his mission to find out where she is. If you take her photograph when the Stalker arrives, it will burn, and the caption "Photograph burned in your hands!" will appear.

Officer Duckman.

Officer Duckman is a black anthropomorphic duck dressed in a bright blue shirt, black pants, and a tie. He wears a blue police cap with a peak and a silver badge in the center. He has narrow eyes and a prominent orange beak.

Officer Duckman is highly professional and focused on his duties. He enters the hospital with virtually no hostility, focused on finding Barney. If the player doesn't turn Barney in, his departure demonstrates his calm and collected nature, as he doesn't try to extract information from the player.

When the player turns Barney in, instead of drawing his weapon, he yells to be arrested. This could mean he either didn't bring a weapon or isn't very good at his job. Either way, he's a level-headed, serious officer.

Liz.

Liz is an anthropomorphic caracal with light brown fur and dark brown, slightly slanted, inverted ears. She has a faint white ring around her eyes and eyelashes. Her muzzle and whiskers are cream-colored. She wears a light blue cap, a black shirt, and a dark blue jacket, and carries a white camera around her neck.

As her dialogue suggests, Lisbeth is always exaggerated and energetic. Sometimes she prolongs her words. Liz seems very intelligent; she discovered the truth about the anomalies and, unfortunately, was fired for it.

Barney.

Barney is a white anthropomorphic rabbit with a black mustache. He wears a brown hat and brown plaid pants. His abnormal form has a large mouth with sharp teeth and large, empty black eyes with white pupils.

Barney comes across as a very friendly and respectful animal. Every time the player helps him, he either thanks them or offers some kind of praise. When Officer Duckman arrives at the hospital and his appearance changes, he begins threatening the player if they speak to him. So, while Barney can be kind, he's extremely insane when it comes to the player not giving him what he wants. He's quite sadistic, considering he's a serial killer, and sees nothing wrong with killing if necessary.

Ratthew.

Rattu is a black anthropomorphic rat with long, thin whiskers and a small, round black nose. He has a white muzzle with two protruding teeth. He has a pair of long ears on his head and a pink rat tail at the back. He is quite short.

Ratthew comes across as a good-natured, paranoid individual. He seems to harbor a deep mistrust, born of life experience. His early remarks about how his small stature allows him to see and hear things most cannot create the impression of an acute observation and perceptiveness that allows him to notice details many miss. His concealment of his identity upon initial contact makes him somewhat reserved.

Ron from accounting.

A blue anthropomorphic rabbit with brown hair. His ears hang low and are a darker blue than his face. He wears black round glasses, a tie, and pants of the same color. He wears a white long-sleeved shirt and brown shoes. He always carries a black suitcase with the words "TOP SECRET" written on it in red.

Ron is a very knowledgeable patient at the clinic. He knows more about all the monsters and anomalies in the clinic than most animals. Despite witnessing the appearance of many different monsters, his calm, unflappable demeanor suggests he is quite calm in stressful situations. He seems impressed that the player has survived so long, implying that he is accustomed to new clinic staff disappearing, and to some extent, has gotten used to it. His numerous stories from the clinic suggest that he is very observant, noticing patterns among all the possible monsters in the clinic. He is also very straightforward and frank, readily telling the player any dangerous or disturbing truths about the clinic.
"From Accounting" is Ron's real last name, as Dr. Harlow said.

Dr. Harlow.

An orange anthropomorphic muntjac, dressed in a blue medical gown under a white consulting coat, also wears blue pants. He has a black stethoscope around his neck. He has a speculum with a brown band on his head. His mouth is covered with a surgical mask. He has two beige horns on his head, and ears next to them. He has a small tail at the back. He always carries a black suitcase with the words "TOP SECRET" written in red.

Little is known about Dr. Harlow's personality. As his dialogue in the hospital lobby makes clear, he's been with the hospital for a long time and has seen many employees come and go. He appears to have been traumatized by some unspecified event, from which he was rescued by Animal Corporation, and now works with them. He hopes that once their "research" is complete, there will be no more patients, long shifts at the hospital, or anything else that could cause problems. Throughout his monologue, he speaks with a melancholy and weariness.

Patients.

Patients are anthropomorphic animals; they may be different colors, have different faces, or ears. Patients may also have different tails or none at all, and they may have different patterns on their fur or none at all.

Personalities vary: sometimes they seem polite when introduced. Generally, patients come across as intimidated and even hesitant to speak due to the clinic's atmosphere and history. If the player delays their registration for too long, they will become impatient. If they refuse, all patients will become angry.

When a patient is admitted to the hospital, they lie in a hospital bed or stand in the X-ray room while being treated. If they are treated incorrectly, or if they are not treated quickly during a critical condition or surgery, they will die, and the player will receive a penalty if they are a normal animal. After recovery, they will get up from their bed and leave the building. Tasering an animal will result in a 15 sanity loss.

"Visitors" will stand in the room in front of the hospital bed. Sometimes they will enter rooms where there are no patients. They may simply cry, cover their faces with their paws, or simply observe.

In some emergency situations, patients may arrive at the hospital on fire, in critical condition, or collapse at the reception window. In all these cases, action must be taken quickly, otherwise the patient will die. Patients may become embroiled in various emergency situations or events that players will have to deal with.

Patients may leave behind slime when walking. This doesn't necessarily mean they're an anomaly or a Skinwalker. Slime can be removed manually or with a fire extinguisher, as it can slow down players who step on it.

Anomalies that can be found at the registry.

  1. The patient's head and arms twitch. In some cases, this abnormality can only be detected with a camera.
  2. The patient has three red eyes. There is a similar anomaly, but it is very small, smaller even than Ratthew's.
  3. The patient has realistic teeth instead of a face and round small scary eyes, or the patient has two realistic eyes and a creepy painted smile.
  4. The anomaly manifests as sunken, dark eyes. It causes no harm. However, during treatment, a death ritual is guaranteed.
  5. The patient has a wide, distorted smile with sharp teeth, as well as two glowing eyes located at different levels.
  6. The Anomaly constantly watches the player. (Rattew isn't like this, even though he constantly watches the player while waiting for registration.)

Anomalies can be driven out of the hospital using a stun gun or a pistol, otherwise they will perform a death ritual or attack the player/patient, and then the anomaly can be driven out by knocking them out (if attacking the patient), if attacking the player, he will also have to fight back, losing his sanity, or they can be driven out immediately by lowering the blinds.

Video anomalies.

  1. The face is covered by a black rectangle with eyes.
  2. On camera, the ears/horns look different: the color changes or the ears themselves change.
  3. On camera, the patient will become a shapeshifter.
  4. The patient is contorted into an unnatural position.
  5. The patient turns completely black.
  6. The patient twitches on camera.
  7. The patient looks intently into the camera.

You can drive them away in the same way as the others.

Photo anomalies.

  1. The patient’s appearance changes: additional ears appear/change, eyes change.
  2. There is noise/interference in the photo.
  3. The face changes to a more terrifying appearance. If the player picks up the photo while it's being processed, they will lose 10 sanity points. However, if the player picks up the photo after it's fully processed, no sanity loss will occur.

You can drive away anomalies in the same way as others.

Chamber.

This appears with a small chance when the player checks a camera through the CCTV system. The camera will zoom in on a black anomaly with crooked teeth and red, pinpoint eyes. If not reacted to quickly, this anomaly can inflict potentially fatal damage on the player. After the jumpscare appears, the player will lose 20 sanity. After exiting CCTV mode, the camera containing this anomaly will remain broken.

Slymbert.

Slimebert is a large creature composed of green slime, lighter on top than on the bottom. It has two purple eyes and a large indentation that serves as a mouth, with small bumps in place of teeth.

Knocking on the window.

During shifts 2-4, a patient with sunken eyes appears, banging his head on the second registration window. He can be neutralized by giving him coffee. Asking him to leave will drain 20 sanity points. If ignored for too long, he will slam his head on the window one last time, creating a crack in it, and eventually leave.

Its appearance varies, but it often looks like a typical patient; it can be driven away with coffee without losing your mind.

Ghost.

A Ghost appears after a patient dies, even if it was a Shapeshifter. It will hover aimlessly around the building and disappear if the player gets nearby. The Ghost can open and close doors in the building. It will sneak up on the player, causing them to lose 2 Sanity points every second for being in the Ghost's presence. If the Ghost is nearby, it will make a strange sound and disappear after a short while. You can use a pistol or a taser to drive away the Ghosts.

A tip for spotting them: If you notice a door that closes without any players or patients nearby, it means a ghost is in that room. If you open the door and immediately run away, the ghost will move toward you.

Eyes.

Upon entering a room with such a cluster of eyes, the music stops and the message "DON'T LOOK UP" appears at the bottom of the screen. Looking up causes the cluster to glow, causing the player to lose 2 to 5 sanity points every half second. Eye drops can be used to calm the cluster, allowing the player to look up without difficulty.

There are quite a lot of them, they are found ONLY ON THE CEILING and have red flesh, also when they appear in the room something drips from the ceiling, like water or tears.

Tentacles.

They appear spontaneously in Ward #8 as a large mass of purple tentacles. They have a 45-second countdown, and the patient must be operated on before that time expires, otherwise they will die. An electric shock or gunshot will kill your patient.

Underbed monster.

It appears under hospital beds with a transparent red box. If you step on the box, the monster will grab you. Once grabbed, the player will lose 10 sanity points and will lose 5 sanity points every 2 seconds. It can be driven out with maple syrup, an organ, or a transplant. The monster in the bed can also attack patients. If a patient is grabbed by the monster, it will trigger an emergency.

He is not visible, but the hands that he stretches out to catch the victim are black, and two large red eyes also peek out from under the bed.

Stalker.

Looking at him deals -10 damage to Sanity. This figure can appear anywhere on the map, even around corners, but he's quite shy, so he disappears immediately upon being looked at.

He is quite tall, appears to be a mouse (or even Rattina, Ratew's sister), is black in color, and has a wide smile like the Mascarat.

Simulator.

They originate from anomalies that were processed through the reception area. They actively attack other patients and players. They can be neutralized with a pistol or a stun gun.

Initially, he looks like a typical patient; the trick can be found by viewing CCTV cameras or in photographs.

Masquerades.

When they appear, they blend into the texture, leaving only their smiling eyes visible. If you don't notice the Masked One, the message "Run!" will appear on the screen, after which you must run back away from the Masked One within 7-8 seconds. Otherwise, if it catches up with you, you'll lose 10-15 Sanity. You can get rid of them with a taser, pistol, or fire extinguisher.

They are quite low, making them difficult to notice, appear in varying quantities, ranging from one to five, and when moving away from the texture they turn black.
