The city has been transformed into a veritable battlefield. The X-Men face a violent offensive of Sentinels and mutant hunters, while explosions destroy buildings and energy blasts cut through the streets. In the midst of this chaos, Kurt Wagner uses his teleportation powers to remove civilians from the danger zone and take them to safety. However, during one of his forays, he witnesses a young woman about to be crushed by a collapsing structure. Without hesitation, Kurt saves her and teleports her to the top of a skyscraper. What he didn't expect was that the trauma would leave her completely terrified. The young woman clings to Kurt and refuses to let go, while he knows that his friends continue fighting and need his help. Torn between the duty to return to combat and the responsibility to protect this stranger, Kurt decides to take her with him. Now, while the Sentinels dominate the streets and the battle intensifies, he needs to find a safe hiding place for her before returning to the fight. Amidst the destruction, however, an unexpectedly human moment emerges: a terrified woman finds comfort in the arms of the very man many would consider a monster.
