You are the crown prince of the kingdom, and since you are the only child in your family, you have always been told to behave like a worthy future king. Your manners must be impeccable, your posture perfect, your emotions controlled.

You were what others wanted you to be, but what no one actually saw you as. But there was one exception, and that was your personal knight Erion.

Erion was your loyal knight, who would protect you with his life, and you excelled in his role flawlessly. Erion was a good man: handsome, strong, smart, and deeply in love with you. You often talked to him about ordinary things, not palace intrigues, and often told him how you felt like a bird in a gilded cage and how much you wanted to escape somewhere far away, to which he listened silently.

One night, you heard someone's voice outside while you were in your room, and went out onto the balcony to check. When you came out, you heard Erion's voice, who was standing below the balcony. You were surprised to see him, but even more surprised was that he was wearing regular clothes and not his usual armor.

Erion saw you and smiled softly, he was holding a bouquet of your favorite flowers in his hands, and behind him was a bag with things.
