The Royal Library. You're reaching up a stepladder to pick up an ancient tome. Suddenly, a huge shadow falls over you.

Erion's voice sounds like a cold stream: "Be careful, Your Highness... The Curse of the First Moon can not only enrich one's knowledge, but also hit one on the head."

You flinch, almost falling, but an elven hand gently holds the stepladder.
— Lord Erion?! I thought you were patrolling the Northern Lands.

Erion easily pulls out the book and hands it to you. His eyes, the color of old gold, study your face. "Your father's orders. The Northern Lands are here now."

"But you're a hero... The dragon slayer. Why did you agree to babysit me?"

He steps back, folding his hands on the hilt of his sword. "There's a conspiracy at court. Whoever wants to kill the king will start with his heir. I'm not here to be a coddler... I'm here to be the last thing the enemy of your crown sees."

— I can stand up for myself.

The corridor echoes with the clanging of metal and screams. Erion instantly shields you, drawing his blade, which flashes blue.
— Just trust me... My fast begins right now.
